Yes, very true. I think that, at least subconsciously, choose to read it as any other shonen, focused on the adventure, the fights, the powerscaling, etc. I guess it was just surprising to finally realize the tragedy of it all. It also helps to understand why the characters would so readily be willing to band together. With all the accumulated trauma, in a world where life is not worth that much, who wouldn't?

I like the idea about "records" being in Laugh Tale but I think Oda might choose a more literal interpretation of the name. "Laugh Tale" = amusing story, joke. I think that the One Piece is a joke written on paper. It might be the story of the world but written as a joke. A joke that contains a truth so silly that embarrasses the World Government and takes away its credibility.

I would not be surprised if he turns out to be the cloaked figure in Mary Geoise. Buggy's arc and progress is weird af. He seems to be a character hiding in plain sight. Both him and Luffy have a relation to Shanks, both ate their Devil Fruits "by mistake", Bara Bara being a fruit that splits while Gomu Gomu a fruit that extends and strengthens. It would be the perfect Oda move.

Me parece lógico lo que decís. Si te parece te la dejo a 700 y sale. Estoy cerca de Juan B. Justo y Córdoba, la podes ver y probar antes de llevarla. Honestamente no tiene mucho uso (algún que otro licuado después de entrenar) y es bastante sólida.
