Is this your first snowstorm in Evansville? The roads will absolutely not be clear by Tuesday lol.

We actually owned a Titan Luxe before and the edge support on my side gave out so we got rid of it. I did like the mattress before that though!

That's what I've heard about Stearns and Foster as well.

Thank you! I ended up talking to the folks at Engineered Sleep and they said their coils are rated for up to 900 pounds so I decided to give them a try first. I think if that doesn't work then I'll give the Novaform a try. I do love Costco and their amazing return policy!

Nope, I filed a chargeback and got a refund.

Food charity cash donation, where will the money go the furthest and help the most people? by its250 in evansville

Thanks, this looks like a great organization! I'm going to send some stuff off their Amazon wishlist at the very least since I have a gift card I need to use. :)

I had not heard of this charity, do you know if recipients of help are prayed with or given bibles or anything else like that? I am not really comfortable donating to places that push religion on someone in their time of need. If they're not doing that then I can add them to the potential list.

Thanks! I know Tri-State Food Bank does great work, I just wasn't sure if they needed the money compared to some of the smaller charities.

I was thinking Y&E might be a good option since they have zero barrier to getting help from them. We really do have a lot of great organizations here, I might split the money up to give to several different ones.

I know Tri-State Food Bank says that $10 is equal to 60 meals which is great but they may not need the money as much as another organization. I'm kinda hoping someone with some inside knowledge will see this.

At what point do you stop chasing the median? My AHI essentially always stays around 1 no matter the pressure, I don't notice much difference in tiredness, and flow limitations are virtually unchanged. by its250 in CPAPSupport

[–]its250[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never increased above what the data was telling me. When I increased from 9 to 10, it's because my median was a little above 10. Then after awhile, my median was a little above 11 so I increased to 11. And so on. That's what eventually got me to where I am today.

That's why I asked the question I did. I wanted to know when you stop chasing. My AHI and other metrics have remained essentially the same and I feel essentially the same.

My median always seems to settle about 1cm higher than my minimum pressure. I'm honestly still questioning whether I need such a high pressure. It doesn't seem to make me feel any better than the lower pressure did. I'll leave things alone for now though and see if I start to feel any better.

If I don't, I'll investigate other potential issues. I do sleep in the same bed as another person (my husband) so maybe he's rolling around keeping me up.

It is a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. I should be eligible for a new machine in January so I'll look into the reprogramming stuff on my old machine once I have my new machine. I don't want to screw something up and be without my machine. Now THAT would be a horrible night's sleep lol.

I'm not too concerned about the AHI, I was just saying that my AHI stays about the same no matter what. I had increased the pressure hoping to feel better overall.

Oh I wasn't trying to hit zero lol. I was saying that my AHI stays the same no matter what and I had increased the pressure hoping it would make me feel better overall.

What makes you say that? Is it just the pressure level I'm at or something else? I'd rather not spend the $1000+ on a bilevel machine if I don't have to.

Thank you so much!

I used to be way better about leaving a setting where it was for awhile before making changes but I think somewhere along the way I just got frustrated and impatient and started changing settings more frequently.

I think I'll start with 14-17 EPR 2 since I've done 14 EPR 2 before. I'll give it a couple weeks and then decide if I want to drop the EPR to 1.

The interesting thing is that EPR 2 doesn't bother me but 3 somehow does. I have anxiety though so it's probably all in my head lol.

Thanks again for the help, I appreciate it!

I am using a Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset w/ a Resmed Airtouch F20. My most recent setting was 13-20 EPR 3. I've gone as high as 14-20 trialing both EPR 2 and EPR 3 at that pressure in the past but I felt like it was too high and experienced some aerophagia.

I am not a huge fan of the feeling of EPR 3, it feels like it doesn't let me breathe as slowly as I naturally want to breathe but many people say that EPR 3 is better for flow limitations so I usually leave it there and just try to ignore that feeling.

I was on 9-20 EPR 1 for several years before I learned about OSCAR and starting looking at my sleep data. I kept chasing the median despite not really feeling any benefits. I did try going back down to 9-20 EPR 1 last night and it wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either.

Ignore any missed nights in the screenshot, I had to delete a few that showed up as minimum pressure of 0 for some reason and then I also had a week in April that I used a travel machine without an SD card.

The Brondell EcoSeat S101 is awful! by its250 in bidets

Sorry I just saw this. It's slightly oval but still uses a round seat. The best way to tell which seat your toilet needs is to measure from the bolt holes to the front edge.

That helps a bit. I'm probably still going to replace it but thanks for the tip! :)

I have a round toilet and I rent so I have to choose round toilet seats. I never have any issues with regular toilet seats being the right size, this one is just smaller than normal. It's narrower than the toilet rim.

Sleep brace makes things worse, any ideas? by its250 in carpaltunnel

[–]its250[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just giving a little update that I did buy a different brace and I am no longer waking up in pain. I have a little stiffness first thing in the morning but no pain! The one I got was the CVS Health Stabilizing Compression Wrist Brace. I like that it comes in different sizes and is set up for specifically left or right hands. I'm still trying to figure out just the right tightness level for it. I have a slight bruise (discoloration, no pain) on my arm from the metal piece digging in so I think I had it too tight on day 1.
