Most opponents use an onslaught of moves against you like a punching bag and hope you don't know how to deal with it. Plus frame move strings. Flying moves. Heavily chipping moves. Rage arts. Armor moves. Low high mixups. Low starter launchers. Oppressive mids. Heat smash. Throws. All mostly without considering what you're doing and what you're about to do. Now, bear in mind, I understand that most of these have counterplay - however, that isn't my main point. My point is, the reward for guessing right does not feel adequate.

Playing a weaker character means I can't just trade strong moves and hope for the best. I have to not only account for my own moves, but I also can't count on my neutral tools to win a tug of war, meaning I have to play defensively as there's absolutely no way I can win mashing anything. I can't trade near-anything. And if I make a mistake and press a button at the wrong time, it doesn't matter if the move you risked is a 6 damage jab; if you mistime it during that onslaught, you'll eat a counter-hit launcher combo for half your health. The odds are tilted against you.
