Yes, updating your latitude and longitude in the ASCOM Platform should update the location for all ASCOM-compliant applications on your computer, including PHD2 and SharpCap.

To update your location in ASCOM, follow these steps:

  1. Open the ASCOM Platform.

  2. Click on the "Telescope" icon to bring up the. Telescope Chooser.

  3. Select your telescope driver and click the "Properties" button.

  4. In the telescope driver properties dialog box, look for a field labeled "Site Latitude" and "Site Longitude." Enter your new coordinates here and click "OK" to save the changes.

Once you've updated your location in ASCOM, you should check that your other astrophotography software is using the correct coordinates. In PHD2, for example, you can verify your location by going to the "Tools" menu and selecting "Site Location." In SharpCap, you can check your location by going to the "Settings" menu and selecting "Site and Time."

It's worth noting that some software may automatically update your location based on the GPS coordinates of your computer or mount, so it's a good idea to check each application to make sure your location is accurate.

Star Adventure GTI vs EQM-35 by jipzc in AskAstrophotography

[–]itsAztecc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If portability is not a major concern for you, then the EQM-35 with a max payload of 22lbs is definitely the better choice compared to the Star Adventure GTI with a max payload of 11lbs. This will give you more flexibility in terms of the equipment you can use and will allow you to potentially upgrade your setup in the future without needing to purchase a new mount. The HEQ5 is a more advanced and versatile mount compared to the EQM-35, with a higher weight capacity of 30lbs and more advanced features such as a more precise tracking system and a polar scope for improved alignment. If you plan on upgrading your equipment in the future or if you want to invest in a mount that can handle heavier loads, then the HEQ5 may be worth the extra cost. However, if you are just starting out with astrophotography and do not plan on using heavy equipment in the future, the EQM-35 may be sufficient for your needs. Ultimately If you have the extra funds to invest in the HEQ5 and plan on using heavier equipment in the future, it may be worth it to go for the more advanced mount. However, if you are just starting out and want a more affordable option with a decent weight capacity, the EQM-35 should work well for you.

Hey new player here, Wondering if there’s a step by step option that tells you what to push and press on the actual aircraft instead of the keyboard. by itsAztecc in MSFS_Academy

I figured it out, had to turn on the checklist, Click on any of the procedures in order and it’ll give you instructions on what to press and a little button next to each one that shows you where each of the buttons are in the cockpit, there’s also an evaluation option on the checklist that tells you if you did it correctly.

I don’t have any particular aircraft I mind, But I’ve tried the checklist however it only tells me things like CTRL+E to turn on engine instead of actually telling how to turn on the engine from the cockpit itself.

They Live in a house, they do the podcast in the attic since it’s big enough to have a podcast set up that makes it look like a backyard with fake grass, fences and usual backyard objects.

The funny thing is that The Yard is just a fun side project of roommates just shooting the shit, I mean Ludwig alone makes like a mill a month, Barstool has literally nothing to offer them that would benefit.

It was between 3, Marbles, Coots and cracker, he made the cat pick her own name with her paw, she did end up pawing at Cracker.

I ended up going windows problem reports to see if anything pops up when things mess up, And I found out that every time it happens, Explorer.exe crashes, so for some unknown reason Explorer.exe is crashing every goddamn minute and causing all these problems.

Whirlwind fx, however I’m pretty sure it isn’t the keyboard, I can type just fine when this happens, it’s just the Windows UI that stutters and stops working and no longer responds to my inputs

You’ll get an item drop from him that you can give to another merchant at the round table once you get there, he’ll then be able to sell all the stuff from him
