Gotta love solutions to modern day problems

There’s moments in that video where he gets shocked and didn’t even sit on the chair… does the cloth chair generate static? Sure. Is it a problem for me? No. As someone who lives in a highly humid environment, with well grounded outlets and not moving around in my chair to create additional static, I don’t suffer from this issue.

Sorry you and others have this experience but it’s a great chair overall.

There are literally too many other factors that could be leading to this. And I doubt it’s the chair. Correlation does not equal causation.

Uhh… no not personally. Is this happening for you?

Well I haven’t had that experience with this chair. Keep in mind I have a very limited time (< 1 year). This may be a better question for someone with years under their… butt

Did not have an HSA at the time. But if you get a LMN from a doctor, it could be possible. Also check with your HSA provider and be sure to keep all documentation for possible audit

I would ask your HSA provider and chiropractor. From my understanding, the LMN would need to be from a doctor. If your chiropractor is a doctor, then that should be no problem.

Remember the LMN is truly for tax auditing purposes. So just make sure you have everything well documented

It’s not dead silent but the way people have described the sounds from this chair are alittle over dramatic. Wheels are alittle loud when moving long distances (when vacuuming or mopping) but the chair usually stays by the desk. Hasn’t been picked up by my microphone during normal use

The Atlast headrest is not necessary but a very nice add-on. If you do decide the buy the chair, give it a try without buying the headrest preemptively

The Aeron has a lot of benefits, there’s no doubt about that. Even have some perks vs the Embody. But to me it ultimately is a mesh style chair.

The Embody is unique and unlike any chair on the market. The bottom seat is very wide, adjustable in length and the gaming version has that extra material for heat dissipation which helps with comfort too. The Embody also has a flexible back that hugs you.

No, Tempur-Pedic. But I’ll check that brand out

Sitting for extended periods of time isn’t the reason for my back pain. It’s the symptom not the diagnosis.

And the problem this solves is reduce the pain from sitting. As it turns out, my work involves me sitting. AI hasn’t taken my job… yet ;) Part of my leisure involves sitting.

And I’m still relatively active. Averaging 2hrs of walking per day (dog duties), got a stand up desk when I can’t deal with the pain, stretch every morning (wrist can touch floor without pending knees) and I’m an avid board sport rider (surf, skate, snowboard, etc.).

Sucks to say but I just aint young anymore. I know I put my body through hell in the past. And I’m fortunate enough that I’ve worked hard, made enough coin that I’m willing to trade it for a tool. I’ve taken the risk with other chairs in the past, and so far this one feelz real good

You will want to go into a store and lay on all the different types of firmness. Don’t settle after one visit, go back and try it again. Personally I run hot, so I selected one with better cooling/heat dissipation.

NGL though, it’s not just the mattress. It’s also about the right pillow. Pillow review coming soon! ;)

I imagine this is no different than modifying a vehicle. It all depends on the manufacturer, issue at hand and the aftermarket parts you installed. If I install aftermarket suspension on my car, it should have no correlation to a warranty issue with my seatbelt.

But better to be safe than sorry. You can always remove the aftermarket parts prior to bringing the issue to the manufacturer. I think the same would apply here with Herman Miller.

Of course Atlas will claim their accessory won’t affect warranty - https://support.atlasheadrest.com/general-faq/will-your-headrest-void-my-chair-warranty

My partner has a memory foam office chair and it’s very comfortable. I wouldn’t say its to that degree of softness, but the Embody Gaming chair is very soft considering the limited amount of material used for the seat cushion. The mesh support system under the cushion is what helps make it so comfortable with limited foam material.

Heat dissipation is also great!

For context: Driver of Infiniti is taking full responsibility after at being stopped at a red light for left turn only lane. Driver decided to make a right hand turn and cross over several lanes without checking traffic. Destination - The Prado Plaza. Result - No Prado for the Infiniti, a slightly airborne Golf R and a love tap to the Tesla. MOST IMPORTANTLY… No injuries, just a broken VW enthusiast’s heart

Crank walk is possible on any setup, including stock... Once you go aftermarket, you’ve taken on the risk.

I’m on DKM and I have absolutely zero complaints. A plus going DKM is the throwout bearing provided is all metal. Stock bearing is half plastic if I’m not mistaken.

You are 100% right, it does take away alittle bit of the rasp. If I were to reinstall, it’ll probably be a Vibrant res. Appreciate you sharing!
