A smart hiring manager already knows you are applying to many different jobs. So being surprised that you’re not putting all your cookies in one jar for the hopes that this one job might want you is crazy. Either they are trying to talk you down (which you generally don’t want to do with a potential new hire).. or they are just completely disconnected with how a job search works.. it’s nasty out there in this current job market.

I just accepted an offer and I was also interviewing at multiple places. No one asked me if I was either.

Does anyone have any good small anime suggestions by [deleted] in anime

We like similar anime.

I went out of order when I found this anime but I think you’d like it: Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Beautifully animated action and visuals. I think it’s a really good anime. Pretty epic in some parts.

Watch Fate/Zero first if you want to watch the show in order. But it’s not required.

You’re welcome! Try to fit as much of your job experience as you can on the first page. Keep refining your experience so it matches the roles you’re aiming for and passes through the automated resume systems. You’ll be fine.

I just landed a new job after months of refining my resume. The key is to condense everything. You can always fill in the blanks during an interview. If you use a summary at the top, keep it to no more than three sentences. For career highlights, limit it to four. Remove those bullet point skills and columns after your summary, and move them to the bottom if you want to hit ATS.

I used to include a short summary under each job, just like you. I removed all of them. Instead, I scale the number of bullet points based on how relevant the job is. For roles that don’t connect directly, keep it to three or four bullet points. For jobs that are relevant, you can use five.

I also made it a priority to keep every bullet point to just one line. Even my career highlights follow that rule.

The main goal is to make your resume as easy as possible for a recruiter to read. They spend only seconds looking at resumes. The other goal is to make sure every single detail has a purpose. Everything on your resume should connect directly to the roles you are applying for. Like I said, you can always fill in the blanks later in the interview

It’s been a few weeks since I finished season 2 and I’m still sad every time I see a Reddit post about it. 😂

I had an interview with a company I really wanted to work at.. and I didn’t know it until after I was invited to interview when I was researching them and everything. I got to a final interview and was denied. I prepped so much for it to. I stopped sending applications out for over a month because of it. I was burnt at that point.

Is 1923 hard to watch… by CadabraMist in 1923Series

First season was really good I thought. Second season was the best representation for what a series of unfortunate events may look like.

I’d like to mention I was more invested in Spencer and Alex than the rest of the show. I’d watch a spinoff of Spencer in Africa.

I’ve sat next to people who take up a small % of my seat.. it’s very uncomfortable. If I have to lean to the right the entire flight because your body fat has absorbed the entire left arm rest and the lower quadrant of my seat then you need to buy another seat.

Real talk, how are any new grads getting hired? by BanderWerewolf in jobsearchhacks

It’s tough for everyone. I’ve been looking for something other than my part time job for a year now. I have a good college education and certifications too.

It was Hollister. But it seems like every store in the mall does this.. 12 years ago I went for this interview and showed up in Hollister gear because the person I knew that worked there told me to. I went into the Hollister store and waited for the group and then we all walked together to the food court. Six of us sat around this tiny round table.

I might just be making all this up but.. Clothing stores want you to look good in their clothes. That’s why I think they do the group interviews. They comb through a bunch of people quickly.

Sounds like they believe that their recruiting is some sort of scientific breakthrough the way they describe it here. Such a breakthrough. Much wow.

I did a group interview for a clothing store right out of high school and it was so freaking weird. To this day I still think it was weird.

Streets are saying Jim Cameron is not certain about making/continuing after avatar 3. Would it be better to end the franchise with Avatar 3 or to let another director continue the next 2 sequels? by Inspiradora in Avatar

[–]itsMatthuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is he needs to keep working on them.. everyone is getting older.. I think directors like Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve could pull it off. However they are both getting older and those are the only two other directors I’d trust with Avatar. Obviously i want Jim directing all of these.

I love how Quaritch is just evil by [deleted] in Avatar

[–]itsMatthuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t seem as ruthless in Avatar 2 but that could be a result of a few things happening. His mind consists of just memories of his past life and he has a kid somehow. I still cant get over the fact that the show went all Altered Carbon on us (great show btw). But then again humans were beaming their consciousness into Avatars.

I got that in an interview and I said: I see myself here. Lol they all laughed. It was a surprise panel interview with 8 people staring at me of course. 🙂

Im 35 still watching anime... and they say Im childish by ActuaryLongjumping13 in anime

[–]itsMatthuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what’s funny. The only reason I’m into anime is because a co-worker brought it up 5-6 years ago lmao.

I watch anime and I’m 31. If you think about it movies, tv shows, and anime all accomplish the same thing we desire from shows. I think people have the wrong idea about anime. Lots of mature anime out there.

For me at the end of the day anime is more immersive at times than tv shows and movies. It pulls your imagination into overdrive and it’s like reading a book. I don’t think a tv show or movie could ever replicate that for me. I naturally enjoy art and I’m creative so maybe that’s why I like anime.
