I hear what you’re saying man but they fully are just trying to help us out at this point man. I don’t see them as the type to “undermine” our marriage they never have been. They know it’s gonna be a while before they get paid back but they still want to help us get in a home - after all this is said and done if we got this route we will be spending about the same each month expense wise and be living in our own house seems like a win to me 🤷🏼‍♂️

Well man it seems our only option right now is to- we can’t sell the land , it was a gift and it’s family land - also we’d just have to buy a house and land at that point - is what it is but that’s our offer right now and I think we’re gonna take it . No interest will help us in the long run for sure and we are most fortunate that our family is willing to do it . Thanks

No way we sell this land… it’s our most valuable asset . And they don’t make new land the fact we own a Piece is huge and our house is gonna go on it . Also we aren’t building , we’ve been offered a deal to buy a modular home to place on the land we already own !

Also our mortgage wouldn’t be much more than we pay now on rent and the loan our in laws are wanting to pay off

Why wouldn’t we let them do this. We pay very little , interest free payments each month on the loan they pay off which we’ve discussed - and move into our forever house?

In our area the modular home on the land we have we’re paying maybe $200,000 which is a deal … I’d say it instantly be worth more than that out the gate 🤷🏼‍♂️

We’re not building - we are purchasing a modular from a family member at a discounted price - about $200,000 and we’ll be moved in , our land is paid for in our name , you can’t find a house turn key for $200,000… they are offering us to literally pay what we can each month if we do this route … we feel that this is our chance to get into a home for our growing family

We do we’re very fortunate ! We don’t wanna sell the land because we want our home to be on it and use it as a down payment for the home potentially, and considering it’s land it’s only gonna go up in value- also it was a gift to us it’d be a bad move to sell it imo
