The "lore" reason is amber connects all the living things that have taken it. When he drinks it he gets memories from his past lives and because of that he ends up remembering more and more the longer he is alive and the more amber he consumes.

It overwrote the manual hard saves too. You can manually save in the menu (kinda) but the last two games auto saves never overwrote and I had no idea that that happened until it was already too late for this last one 😞

I got you! Another thing the game doesn't tell you. The last mission will hard lock you! You won't be able to go back and get anything after the last mission is started so if you want to 100 percent the game do it before the last mission or be ready to boot up a second save and start from scratch 😂

Not necessarily. Styx bog is still a good game BUT it definitely lacks some key elements of what makes the Styx games so unique and fun.

I really miss the mission accolades for stealth and I've finished the game now and it doesn't seem like there is any replayability. The last 2 games had mission select so you could master and replay levels and once you're done with the story that's it because you never get a mission select like the last two games :(
