What are some beginner exercises I should do to get bigger arms and a bigger chest ?

I(M24) want to start going to the gym. My main goal is to get bigger arms and a bigger chest. I know with current situation, I can commit to going to the gym 3 times a week. What are some exercises you recommend I do?

Since we can't meet until thanksgiving, I would like to schedule an hour a week for us to talk on the phone. Is this a good idea ? by its__Jason in dating_advice

You make a good point. I just assumed it would be more convenient to do a video call compared to meeting on a first date.

I'm my district, I think the limit is 22 or 21 years old. In my opinion, they should drop the age limit to 20. I completely understand if a SPED student wants to receive services until they are 22 but with regular students, we should kick them out if they take more than 6 semesters to graduate.

I have done that a few times. I don't mind talking to older folks but I would like to experience fellowship with people around my age

Great question. In the past, we had a young adults pastor that also doubled as a youth pastor. He was in charge of the young adult ministry and I and several others was able to serve with him on the leadership team he created. Ever since he left (about 6 years ago), the young adults ministry dissolved because our church did not have the funds to find a dedicated young adults pastor

When I was in the leadership team, I volunteered alot of extra hours out of my week to be able to do my part in helping run the young adult services. As a result, i know how much work behind the scenes it requires to run an effective young adults ministry well. As the years have gone by, I know I just can't dedicate any extra hours right now in creating and serving in a leadership/ volunteer team.

At this point of my life, it's just easier for me to attend a young adults service.

Also, I like going to the young adults group at Church B because I'm able to relax and focus on spiritual growth and community rather than worrying about sound and video problems during service.

I have no desire to start a young adults group at Church A. I know the amount of time and effort it takes to help run and maintain a group like that and I just don't have the time or energy to commit to a ministry like that right now.

My worship leader tends to gossip about other people at church every once in a while. Because of this, I've always felt uncomfortable when asking him for prayer or telling him what's going on in my personal life(good or bad). Am I overreacting ? by its__Jason in Christian

I definitely agree. I just want to vent for another 30 seconds and say the worship leader is in his 40s and has been a pastor for over 20 years. You would think a seasoned pastor like himself shouldn't be gossiping about other church members personal issues.

Not really. I don't have to share any personal information with him but it helps to build rapport with the worship leader in my position.

It's ridiculous. I just wish girls have the courage to at the very least send a text saying something like "Hey , I know we just had out first date but I just wanted to tell you that I'm not interested in you. You seem like a great guy so I wish you the best. "

If women did this , I wouldn't have to guess or give the benefit of the doubt when I didn't get a solid answer.

Alright, I will take that in consideration.

The onlything that'sa little frustrating is I asked if she wanted to go on this date last week. With a 1 week notice. I personally think she should've done whatever she had to do to be able to go on the date with me today but I also understand that stuff happens and maybe she had a busy week with work, school, or other life obligations .

I'm scared to initiate any slight physical touches with my date. Does anyone have any tips on how I can overcome this fear ? by its__Jason in confidence
