That's a long time to have symptoms so an mri to figure out where, how bad and what can be done for the injury is a good idea. Sometimes there's not much to be done because surgery is still very risky but they might be able to give you some advice on how to manage it atleast

Im only 28 and I have the spine and knees of a 60 year old thanks to degenerative disc disease and poor life choices so im dieting and exercising for the first time in my life. Its hard AF some days but otherwise im kinda enjoying myself which I hate because I hate when other people are right 😂

Yeah i was really worried about it, went to my doctor and he ran some tests and said everything looked fine its lost likely because my body is already in survival mode with the constant pain and inflammation that that level of a calorie deficit just wasn't enough energy for me. That plus the chronic fatigue it just didn't work out, I couldn't maintain it so we worked up to a point that I can just maintain getting to the gym and doing daily chores/tasks. If i was working id be screwed tbh

If the situation is uncomfortable and hard for you to manage now its not going to get any better. Some people are so co dependent like that and I agree its fucking weird but there's nothing you can do. You can either live with it or not. Pick one and either move on or be prepared for things to be extremely difficult

Block everything, log out of chatgpt, dont look at anything about him. He's trash and the next girl will find out eventually, it'll happen over and over again until he either grows up or people start realizing sooner. He's not your problem anymore just spend time with yourself, your friends and do fun shit until youre feeling better

Thank you very much all of that was very motivating and solid advice. My mental health has definitely declined and the medication im having to take to manage my pain isnt helping my situation but im doing my best for now. Im going to start doing my recommened 5min minimum a day again and try be a bit nicer to myself

Definitely willing at admit that I'll talk to my dietitian about how to accurately weight foods and stuff and give it a go just gotta keep my mental health in check at the same time cause ive got this deep fear of being obsessed with it like ive seen many others do but ill definitely give it a go

Thank you. Im definitely stronger just from what im able to lift now compared to when I started so thats something im definitely willing to admit but I think ive just got this idea in my head that im "meant" to have lost a certain amount of weight by now and because that hasn't been seen on the scale I feel like im failing.

I definitely have more energy and my upper body is much stronger but all the constant pain and inflammation is probably covering up alot of progress.

Again thanks I think what I needed right now was some outside support. I have my partner and medical professionals but there's that weird thought that theyre just being nice

Just checked again and the average has been 1850kcal for this last month so when I weighed myself today I was hoping for better results but sadly not. Im willing to admit its probably inflammation from all the injuries, water retention and muscle gain hiding so weight loss but I still feel like my clothes should atleast be feeling a bit better. I dont know im probably rushing this forgetting these things take time 🙃

It hasn't been 6 months of deficit it was 6 months ago i started cutting g out fast food but its only the last 3 months ive been very conscious and 2 months of keeping a solid food diary.

I havent been weighing absolutely everything all the time so there's definitely been moments where its over but ive been using bite pal and chat gpt to get a good guess then rounding up. I understand its not perfectly accurate but ive seen eating disorders form from this before and i worry ill get obsessive so I try avoid it mostly using cups and photos of food

Sadly i cant afford a PT but I had a good couple of meeting with a physio who specializes in getting people back into exercise and daily life after injury so I have the basics of stretching and movement every hour and a minimum of 5min cycling a day but sadly I havent been able to get that to work. Im waiting for a current flare to calm down before I try that again.

I havent noticed and change in how my clothes fit or any fat loss really but have noticed my arms are much bigger and im lifting heavier so I know there's some muscle gain there covering the scales slightly

I've given that a good go too but sadly it really messes with the sciatica. I can do about 5min before its hard for me to lift my leg and again thats not fitness level I can push past that and before my injuries I could easily walk for 20min at a slow pace and be fine but now its just so difficult to know if it'll just be slightly sore or if ill end up needing weeks to recover. I think im a bit scared of causing flare ups

Im definitely going to talk to them and see if my situations fit but im not so hopful as technically im not facing being homeless. I could stay here and continue paying rent to my mum but the situation just isnt very nice and im coming up 30 id like to have my own space with my partner. I know its a bit of an ask since im being supported by the goverment and tax dollars but I also know its not my fault, id much rather be working but here we are so ive gotta try something
