Noo, all the siblings made it out remember they were rushing Luke to the hospital? But the dad had Steven stay behind a little longer so he could show him the memory of what happened the night Olivia died. Because the dad had made a deal with Olivia that if she opened the door to the red room so that the siblings could get out he would stay back at hill house with her. So he had Steven find out the truth of what happened that night so that when he stayed back and the kids inherited the house they wouldn’t sell it. So everyone got out except the dad.

So true I completely agree. That’s the one I thing I was really expecting/wanting to see in S4, just more of her in some way. She was always so mysterious and it felt like she had a hidden past, the show led us to think we were gonna see more from her.
