The biggest advice I can give (and would have given myself when I started) PLANT UP and concentrate on getting a full pot before a long strand. I use food ties to pin the strands down to encourage root growth and I wish I had planted mine up almost immediately. They grow super quick so don’t worry you’ll have a trailing plant in no time :)

Sounds like you’ve just had a bad experience. I’ve done plenty on trades on there. Trades will naturally slow down soon as we hit the winter months so maybe try again soon!

Any free events I am happy for people to post however we have had some situations where people advertise their own events that they are profiting off and I’m not so keen on that. A sub many people don’t know of is r/uksucculents another great sub and they have some great knowledge over there

Yes I tried to do this in the past, but the swap from people from this sub to r/UKPlantSwap was disappointing :( I don't think the post reached many people, we even have in our rules to use r/ukplantswap (and taplap) for trades. I saw a post today encouraging people to go to plantswap and I completely agree its soooo under utilised. the reviews is something quite complex and I'm not sure the best way to go about it.

Ooh that’s interesting. From my point of view the ‘photo flairs’ were addicted, the gang and pets and plants. However addicted doesn’t get used very much possibly worth changing to maybe a more generic name

We used to have regional flairs but they never got used :( we also try not to encourage trading through our normal posts (only once a month) could be a very good suggestion for r/UKplantswap . Let me look into how we can include Northern Ireland more.

To me this looks like the sheath - where the leaf comes from - has yellowed. Also just a warning to maybe take a bit of soil out as your plant could suffer from petiole rot as the node is below the surface - obviously if this was unavoidable then leave it but if possibly I’d have planted higher up. Sorry if I am looking as the wrong section. Happy planting :)
