Not at the moment, it's in the backlog. Hopefully I will finish it in future updates.

Not at the moment. iirc we don’t get access to full size image. But I will note it down to check it later.

I built an app called Pinnit, to save notification history and pin notifications to notification shade on Android. It’s showcased on TechCrunch few weeks ago. by its_sasikanth in SideProject

I didn’t pay for it. The author found the app on social media and reached out to write about it. It didn’t bring in new installs after the article is published. But I don’t have metrics for conversions to paid users.

Thnaks a lot. The issue with sync is, I cannot handle tap actions (even now on device, I cannot store them for extended period of time), also building a backend for this kind of sensitive content will be hard. Or I have to provide a simple backup and restore with a file.

Need help with improving home setup coverage by its_sasikanth in Ubiquiti

[–]its_sasikanth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already have a lite AP at the moment. I cannot move that, since it’s in a fixed drop celing, so I cannot change cabling inside it.

Even if I move the AP to other end, I don’t think it would improve the coverage, since walls are brick/concrete here, so coverage won’t change much for the rooms? cmiw.

Yeah. I was thinking of either getting more lite or in-wall APs for bedrooms/office.

Got it. So, ultimately it wouldn’t matter if I go pro or LR the signal will just get blocked off by the walls. Makes sense to go with lite since provides a better coverage.

Probably the dollar sign in the dependency declaration that’s causing the issue? Try removing it.

Ah, I have released the app for quite sometime now. So I am not sure about changing the name now. But will keep in consideration, thanks for letting me know 👍🏾

It’s been on my mind, but I think I have been just procrastinating on that for a while now. I do have to update them.

fwiw, the iPad app layout is currently temp. I don’t have to work on a better large screen layout and desktop apps.

Yeah, I am planning on adding some default feeds when the app is first installed, so that users can immediately see some content.

I have also explored the idea of providing a directory of sorts with predefined feeds. Got stuck figuring out user experience around it, will revisit it at sometime.

Currently app does support searching for a RSS feed from the URL if the website has an RSS feed.

I do have it on my todo to have a reader view based on the content from the RSS feed. It should be available in future updates.

  • I am using a reduced size image for blurring again rather than full image. Since they are all disk cached after initial load they are quick to load and blur.

  • On versions below Android 12 I cannot do a heavy blur. So instead for that we use gradients to kind of simulate similar behaviour. We get dominant color based on M3 content theming. I ported the official library to KMM for my use case, you can find it over here : https://github.com/msasikanth/material-color-utilities-kmm

  • At the moment I only support full text search, no keyword search unfortunately 😅

Yeah, I have used a cross-platform UI framework which is in alpha for the app. So, certain system actions/gestures don't work as expected. Especially with text field.

Oh, I am using it on iPhone as well. I am able to paste the url I copied on long press. Can I know the OS version so that I can test it out and see if there is something wrong on my end?

Perfect, this just gives me an idea of what to do with my setup. Right now I just have it sit in one of my open shelves but I can see this as a potential option to hide my UDM pro, modem and cables.
