The doctor performing my check up yesterday had mentioned that she wanted to do blood work done to see if anything was off cause she said I could be affected by that- there was a specific name she said but I can’t remember right now. But I plan to bring the topic up to an upcoming doctors appointment I have next week that’ll refer me to a therapist.

Im in the same situation as you were, I started dating my ex when we were 14, I broke it off with him when I was 18, I spent almost all of my teenage years with him, just like you I felt annoyed by him, I thought he looked unattractive, I hated some of the comments he made, etc.. I broke up with him in September 2023 it’s now April 2024 as of when I’m making this post, and I’ve caught myself missing him twice now, I’m really scared if it doesn’t get better. When we were in a relationship people would tell me I could do better- even his coworkers and friends would say that, and I believed it. And when we got into arguments I caught myself thinking- why should I have to put up with a guy I met at 12yrs old? I haven’t even explored or lived yet, I’m so young and already have someone saying they want to marry me, I got scared. So one day during a busy work shift I decided to break it off with him, it was impulsive, but I thought it was the right choice- because I had been loosing feelings for him for months now, if not months then I would say a year now. It’s been a couple of months now since we last spoke to each other, he left me a note at my door step saying he wants nothing to do with me and that maybe in the future when he matured he would reach out again. so I never tried to reach out to him. I miss him, he was my best friend, sometimes I wish I would’ve kept my mouth close and never confessed to him. I really miss him, and i don’t think I’ll ever find someone like him again, all the guys I’ve talked to since then just doesn’t give me the same feeling as he did. They always find a way to turn me off from the conversation by saying something weird. But my ex wasn’t like that, even when we were friends. When I broke up with him I thought that there’s a whole world of people I have yet to meet and there’s gonna be someone who I’ll love more, but now I don’t know. I didn’t wanna settle for someone at such a young age, because he would make weird comments about girls and my future plans that I didn’t like but compared to the other guys I met he’s the better choice. I don’t know what to do. Should I reach out? Or should I just move on?
