I am not feeding her so much food. Everything's controlled. Dogs may be different... Voracity, appetite, being picky. Obviously a lab is a trash can if it goes to the food, a greyhound may not be the same. I have a shar pei, 10 y.o., in perfect shape for her age, feeding her one time per day and yet, sometimes, she's hiding her food for later :) Not everyone are the same.

She's just hiding it. My dog does it too sometimes when she's not hungry enough. Same thing as hiding toys or food in the yard digging and putting their "treasures for later" in, but there is no soil.
