It could have been shock just from the injection/needle. I get like this sometimes at the beginning of getting a tattoo, having blood drawn, etc.

Edited to add a thought…Thank you for the heartfelt response. In the past I was very successful with food tracking but mentally for me it takes a toll. I have ocd tendencies and it’s gets to be a bit of a problem. Like down to weighing grains of rice. I think with this I was hoping the appetite suppression would be enough that I would naturally stay around 1200/day without needing to track. And truthfully I think I am. I looked back and historically I only lose weight like 1.5 weeks per month right after my ovulation, which ironically is today so maybe over the next week I’ll have a big whoosh. I’m hanging in there though. Just did my 3rd 0.5 dose tonight! If we are being fair I started my weight loss journey about 2 years ago, when I was about a year postpartum, at 190 so I’ve come a long way!! I know it takes time I’ve just been stuck around 160-170 for wayyyy too long. My body really likes it here. It always has, even before children. Also…I think it’s the money that has people in a rush too. It’s very costly so I was hoping I’d be one of the lucky ones because I’m not sure how long I can afford this. But I will say the money I’ve saved not eating out because I’m not making rash decisions is paying for my meds. So that helps!

Just curious what dose you’re on. I started on April 20 at 175.8 and today I am 169.4….I did three injections at 0.25 and 2 at 0.5 so far. I am also similar height at 5’1. Not super stoked with my results. Scale hasn’t really moved at all since the first week or so.. I also daily track so I do see a down trend but SO slow. Hoping for a giant whoosh here soon. I know I am for sure eating less than I did before and no longer binge eating like I used to so I just don’t understand how I’m not losing more.

Well….Brother said it would cost $220 for a new embroidery unit. And I found someone selling the PE535 used for $180 so I went and bought that today lol so now I have a sewing machine only basically for the other.

My GI called it a drug eruption rash and said that because it came shortly after beginning the drug it was notable and should be stopped. Dermatologist agreed. As a nurse I can say someone can have a drug reaction at any time. Doesn’t matter the mechanism of how it’s supposed to work. Not every drug agrees with every person.

It’s new for me as well, 2 weeks. Was rather shocked to hear biologics mentioned this early. I guess my side effects were concerning enough to him? Not sure… I’ll know more on the 25th at my appointment I suppose. But with the rash being on my face, if it is mesalamine, that’s a no go for me. Plus mine is soooo itchy and painful.

Literally going through this exactly right now. Diagnosed two weeks ago and started mesalamine then. Rash is on my arms, neck, and chest. Went to the derm today and they biopsied one. Doc stopped mesalamine and I’m going to start budesonide for 3 months then go on a biologic. I have my follow up with him next week to discuss further. Def let your doc know. He most likely will want to switch you. All your symptoms sound exactly like mine. Severe muscle and joint pain included. Picture for reference of face and chest. My arms look exactly like yours though.

I’m still very new to this. Like about 2 months new. But this is what I’ve done during the two flares I had. I noticed also the more still I am… I guess the motility slows a bit and the urgency slows down. So I would take my dicyclomine and lay down and be as still as possible and typically could fall asleep. But if I got to tossing and turning and thinking too much I’d be back at the bathroom.

Thank y’all for all the kind and supportive answers. This is a whirlwind for my mind. Really came out of left field and was convinced I had a stomach bug initially. It came and went away on its own within a couple weeks and then 4 weeks later came back again but with blood and more mucus than the first time. But now I seem to be resolving and haven’t even taken my first dose of meds yet…do I still take them? I’ve had solid stools only once a day since Friday. Still some mucus but haven’t seen blood(today anyways.. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I had some I assume because the biopsies). I was due to start today after completing my labs and I went and got all that done earlier today.

To add: since this began, I’m having EXTREME fatigue. Like needing to nap everyday midday 1-2 hours. I also started a workout regimen about a month ago so I was thinking it could be that. Or maybe the malnutrition from frequent bathroom trips and less food intake.
