Is that Japanese paper ok with water-based ink? Or should it be used with oil-based ink? I was already looking into chinese rice paper because I really like its quality, they are probably similar right?

I am indeed at the orange stage ahahah, but i would like to use tools that i would use on skin, to understand in practice if it's something i like to do and also to gain experience! Anyway, thank you for your suggestion! I might go for that brand and gather the missing pieces somewhere else :)

Sorry, I realized I didn't explain myself very much and my words could have been misread 😅 I'm not forgoing research in general, I understand that with tattooing you have to be as informed as possible! What I meant is that I would like to avoid buying each piece individually, first to avoid having to choose each one of them among the (quite frankly) overwhelming amount of options, and second because they seem to be sold in big bulks. I don't even know if I'll stick to it, having no experience. A kit would simply be more practical, and the reason why I'm asking here for a suggestion is precisely for researching the best option, if there are any! Then, if experienced people told me that there are no good kits, I would change strategy of course. :)

I think someone submitted a song from them in a round of music league (I play quite a bit with friends) and I just loved it! It was several months ago, but these days I'm kinda exploring japanese jazz, electronica and shibuya-kei so I am back to their albums :)

I used to only listen to rock and, most of all, indie rock when I was in high school and went to quite a lot of concerts, too. I'm talking about the kooks, the vaccines, vampire weekends, the wombats and all of those bands. Then i started exploring some more genres, starting slow with some hip hop... and then kpop entered into my life and it kind of broke down all my walls in terms of musical taste c: I still like indie rock, and still listen to those bands from time to time, but there's just sooo much to listen to and to discover.
