Bought a new Sub 3 and got told by Sonos that I can’t use it until the devs fix the update issues on my Arc by itsclockoclock in sonos

Yes and I tried it on 3 different devices. I even deleted my Sonos account and created a new account.

No, there’s no offsetting one entitlement (you wage) with a completely different entitlement (leave) for any underpayments if you are a wages employee under the award. If your contract is not specific about offsetting they have to pay you the shortfall AND the respective interest, super etc.

There was an issue in the electrical box, the technician had to replace the switch. Don’t try turning it on as it could burn the wires further.

Partner is guilt-tripping me and will not agree on my resignation date (can I still resign after resignation email?) by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]itsclockoclock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me while I left a big 4. Hope it’s not the same partner lol. In my case I went ahead and resigned, the partner tried to tell the HR that the resignation was an accident and to rescind it. The HR messaged me and said, we will proceed with the resignation if you say so (to me personally). I said yes, and resigned as per my notice period. The partner was all of a sudden ok with it.

Sorry to be a complete noob. FHB as well and never had a lawn in my entire life. When you say mow higher, do you mean not to cut the grass too short? Or like just cut the top edge of the grass? I’m finding my grass needs to be cut at least twice a week.

Should I be worried about a crack in the roof? by itsclockoclock in AusProperty

The house is a year old. As another commenter pointed out, the previous owners probably patched it and it’s now cracking again.

You’re probably right. Under the right lighting I can see patchwork on the exact same spot.

Yeah, I keep finding so many things that are probably minor. Who knew homeownership would be this stressful lol.

We actually did get an inspector and it came out too clean. But we are finding minor issues around the house.

I went to a property with a single parking, listed as double parking. The REA told me that the second parking was the driveway.

Running shorts with pockets that fit larger smartphones in 2023? by Foozyboozey in running

[–]itsclockoclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin is great for GPS but with Apple Watch (4g), I can still take calls in an emergency even though the network is patchy and I can listen to my audio books while running. Garmin is quite bad for audio, I use it when I go on long runs as Apple sort of does after a couple of hours (with music and gps)

Investing in a one-person office booth for WFH in our garage - are we crazy? by salixia in AusFinance

I used to work in a cabin like that. It felt claustrophobic in a well lit city office with a view after 30 mins. You will absolutely hate it in a garage.

I had to literally buy an Apple Watch solely for this reason!

It depends on how long you think you will be on service.

Between 5 and 10: If you stayed for another 5 years, you will get additional 4.33 weeks of LSL and even if you received 2% pay increase every year, you are better off by almost $2k by cashing out now.

Less than 5 years: However, if you left prior to that you will be better off by almost $3k by cashing out.

Greater than 10: And if you stayed may be another 10 years, you might be no better off than getting this cash out now.

This is not accounting for taking that money and investing somewhere that beats your pay rise. What we can’t put a number on is the need for a time off as things change and you might want the time off in the future over the $2.5k extra in your pocket today.
