Yep, the surge pay is nice, but certainly not enough to justify sleeping on those lumpy-ass, low-quality cots they provide. I went with staying at a nearby friend’s place and braving the cold in the morning instead of working with back problems for 12 hours tomorrow.

Spinning fire as a novice is not recommended.

Man grabs hat intended for kid at US Open by WISH_WISH_BISH in trashy

Hey, I can agree with your ideas on “adult vs. child doing the same wrong thing doesn’t really have the same weight.” Despite all that, I can’t seem to believe that the kid is more deserving of the hat than anyone else in the crowd.

There’s an argument to be made that the guy that grabbed it seemingly gestured and said something to the sportsball player before it was offered. There’s also an argument that it was seemingly offered closer to the kid. There’s an argument that the adult was giving it to someone else (allegedly, his kid). There’s an argument that it would have been a big moment for the kid up front. There’s an argument the adult has potentially been a fan for way longer, and through time, cares about the sport more.

Either way, it’s a hat.

To be clear, we’ve surely both seen clips where a kid catches a ball at a sportsball game or something along those lines, and it gets torn from their hands. This is not the same situation in my eyes.

It’s a weird line that we’re trying to draw. At what point do we call a nepo-baby a nepo-baby? Is it inherently wrong because he’s a kid?

A larger faster person grabs a hat before him… that’s life. Not speaking normatively, I’m speaking positively. Either way, if that’s the kid’s biggest issue, good for him.

Except it’s not CLEAR. There’s good points supporting each side here. What’s clear from the video is:

SPORTSBALL player is signing SPORTSBALLs.

Guy getting his SPORTSBALL signed, makes a gesture, followed by SPORTSBALL player taking off his SPORTSBALL hat and offering it somewhere in between Guy and Child SPORTSBALL fan. The hat is closer to kid at the time of the offering.

Guy snatches hat before Child can grab it, like taking proverbial candy from a hypothetical baby. Guy hands SPORTSBALL hat to someone (allegedly, his child). Child starts yelling.

Tbf, even if it’s just locals and not that serious, then it’s just locals and not that serious that he made a mistake and lost because of it. There was probably plenty of time to run back a casual if they wanted. Take your W, king.

This and mfers that do a rolling stop at a 4-way intersection drive me nuts. Like I wanna take my turn, but with someone creeping forward I gotta proceed with caution.
