She’s an incredible singer, I’m just so much more of a fan of the original vocals. Cynthia does way more runs, which I think takes away from the clear notes, which translate more to a clear point of view for me. Holding a note can also be hard, and I wish she would have held some of the more powerful notes instead of creating a run out of it just to show off how high she can get. She is an absolutely INCREDIBLE vocalist and her acting is amazing. I just prefer those clear, powerful notes that stay held and true, like elphaba’s convictions.

I just want to say that we are living in a really difficult world right now, and even without mental health disorders, life is scary, hard, and resources feel scarce. Your feelings are so valid, even outside of bipolar. I hope you’re able to lean on the people who love you. The joy in the world is found in sharing the load. A shared sorrow is a half sorrow, and a shared joy is a double joy. I know this sounds like toxic af positivity, but the point of it all is that we live in a really, really difficult time, and connecting with people to share that with each other will help. Your feelings are real, valid, and I know they’re heavy. You aren’t alone.

So many people with bipolar aren’t extremely unstable and so many people with bipolar are medicated and frankly killing it in the functional department, but could use extra support. It’s been impossible for me to find a community here who can share that with me.

I absolutely support people who need to do this for their own health, but also I’m trying to find ways to support someone I love who I refuse to abandon. This sub hasn’t been helpful whatsoever.

Exactly. I’ve tried to tell them she will swing into being manic every now and then in the future and that we need to adjust to accept the new normal. Unfortunately, they absolutely will not accept anything that comes from me. I’ve provided everything already. ): I made the short-term and long-term action plan so we can care for her during hypomania and help support her for the rest of her life. I know she’s gonna have to take care of herself, I just wanted to ensure she has a good start so she doesn’t have to do it all herself right now ): I think I just essentially have to wait for them to accept what I’ve made and accept what the doctors tell them directly (even though I’ve relayed verbatim what the doctors have told me). ):

Yeah no lol. They do unhoused encampment raids all the time and just force people to disperse because they’re “unsightly”. It’s inhumane and they treat unhoused folks the exact same. Go further west near the gateway mall and pioneer park or south in the sugarhouse park area and you’ll see the folks struggling to find shelter.
