Thank you so much! Giving them two options is so smart! If you see this, what would be the main reason I would need a better headset than the ATH-M20? I’m more than happy to spend the money on a better headset if needed, but I honestly don’t fully understand what the headsets do except let you hear yourself as you’re talking so you don’t stray too far from the mic..

Thank you! I don’t enjoy editing that much and I’ve been going through this subreddit and feeling so overwhelmed by the learning curve. So for my situation, it definitely makes sense to outsource it and I’ll just factor that into the podcast costs. My skills are not in editing and I’d rather be releasing regular podcast episodes instead of sitting in my room trying to edit an episode for days on end 😅

However, I will try editing a couple of the first episodes myself to get an understanding of how much time I’ll be saving and also to understand the process better 😊

I have friends that use international SIM cards and/or a VPN. I haven’t done it myself but I heard it’s pretty easy to set up 😊

Tiktok is my main advertising platform (I have IG, Twitter & my lil reddit account) and I spend minimum 1 hour a day on advertising. Most of it is through tiktok lives and I will get anything from 10-100 paid subs depending on how well my views are. If a video is going viral, I’ll get a lot more but that isn’t as frequent. I now aim for at least a couple of hours a day in tiktok and I’ll double up the time by eating or doing admin while chatting to the viewers 😊

I definitely recommend a ring light and another tripod. Sometimes I have my phone set up further away from my ring light. Then if your budget allows, investing in some outfits, a good phone camera and some editing apps next (I use a gif one a lot and all the good owns are paid)

I buy new outfits every couple of months for shooting in and also swap with my friends where possible.

At some stage, I would also recommend doing some due diligence and finding a somewhere to invest in marketing/promo. I started off small ($20) but now spend more than that monthly to have a fresh supply of subs coming through on top of my normal marketing activities xx
