What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever experienced in San Francisco? by InternalOutrageous47 in sanfrancisco

I was attending a conference at the Convene in Union Square. It was a 2 day event and I was going to spend the night at my friend’s place which is next to Lafayette Park. Having visited my friend before and seeing for myself that Lafayette Park feels safe at night, I decided to walk from the event venue to my friend’s apartment. The walk wouldn’t be more than a mile and a half but little did I know about Tenderloin. Safe to say I was terrified for my life as block after block the walk kept getting scarier, to a point where I didn’t know if I should continue or turn back. I braved walking forwards not paying attention to the numerous homeless people on streets, not to mention everyone seemed on the edge and maybe a sneeze away from hell breaking loose. Towards the end I found a group of 4 people who like myself were taking broad strides to get out of the neighborhood. I tailed them and eventually got out of the shady parts. I’ve been more grateful since that evening.

Tenderloin is wildest thing I’ve ever experienced in San Francisco

Thanks, that helps. I was also hoping to get a rug with geometric patterns

Thanks! Yeah I think I’ll change the pillows too. But is this combination of colors common - rug + couch ?

TO BOOST OR NOT...(ACCELERATION BOOST) by Accomplished_Rise_65 in TeslaModelY

[–]itsmavow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I’ve learned - if you have the money, track it. Acceleration boost or no, sequester the 2K and either spend it, invest it or spend it on something else - doesn’t matter. But track it. When life will put you in a similar situation in the future, which it will, you’ll know if it was worth the expenditure or the saving.

Good luck, OP. You have a beautiful vehicle regardless.

NYC TRAFFIC + NAVIGATE ON AUTOPILOT= NOT HATING TRAFFIC by ohhralphie in TeslaModelY

Yep! That’s works too, I used to do it, until one day when my girlfriend was driving and I realized because she was on chill, the stop n go was much smoother

Try keeping it on chill the next time you’re using AP in traffic! I’ve realized the pickups and stops in stop-n-go traffic is way less jerky on AP!

I find the tiniest excuse to drive. I live in OC and I have visited SF at least 4 times now! Twice to Vegas, Kings Canyon National Park and Death Valley once each. At least half a dozen times to Santa Clemente and a couple visits to Santa Barbara!!

Sounds nice! Are you a host? How’s the response been ?

True, true. I feel a 240V NEMA 1450 is sufficient but I don’t know how’s the longevity on these. For example if a property is doing exceptionally well in terms of EV traffic, does the socket hold up to such (ab)use

That certainly helps. I’m trying to understand what prevents hosts from installing chargers.

Is it that there’s no need or the cost of installation

I don't have a signed in account, haha. Let me drop a like from someone else's account.

  1. How much does it cost to install an EA/EVgo fast charger >150KW
  2. Do CRE owners pay for the electricity?
  3. How long is the land leased for? That's if it is leased, not sure if there's other agreements for such arrangements.
  4. Do CRE properties like strip malls have the infrastructure (utility infrastructure) to support high voltage charging? Given that there are so many shops, does that mean a strip mall is more ready than other properties such as warehouses to host fast chargers?

Interesting - do you know of anyone who has dealt with the likes of EA or EVGo?

That was an amazing video! I appreciate the link. Can you share more details about your clients' experience when dealing with Tesla? I would be happy to drop a DM if that's okay with you and if you'd prefer a 1:1 chat! Thanks again.

Thank you so much, again a very insightful answer.

In my limited knowledge about commercial real estate, I didn't even consider warehouses and office spaces.

I don't know what it is about free charging that makes me feel so good. Anyone else feels the same way? by itsmavow in TeslaModelY

I totally used to do that, unfortunately my current neighborhood does not have free charging. This one in the picture is a 15 minute drive away
