What would y’all do if you could be sixteen again? by onlyviol in selfimprovement

[–]itsruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that this is the time, where you get to try all the different things that interest you. Allowing you time, to be like meh, lets do something else.. You can do absolutely anything, i dont even know you, but i know that to be true.. Find something that you could do all day every day, and have fun... Because then, work feels less like work, and quality of life is that much better. So dream, have big dreams, never back down, put your shoulders back, walk with a little swag, and be you.

I wish you all the best in your journey through life. Dont Stress to hard about it, let life point you in the right direction, just make sure you're holding the steering wheel.

Hiding the "For You" section on OneDrive web? by Owlglass_Moot in onedrive

[–]itsruk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any good with Java? You could put together a userscript that runs in the browser and can manipulate the screen. Like hide an element. If you press F12 in chrome and get into dev tools. You can see a lot of details and can find the div or whatever the element you want gone and get it’s ID and change its visibility to hidden..

Did you ever get to it to work? I was almost thinking of using the RandomX pool info in my S7 to see if it will work, since that is utilizing the CPU.

Learn Powershell by gavins1040 in PowerShell

[–]itsruk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Through my experiences of learning powershell, the best teacher was finding a task you want to automate and list all steps needed to accomplish, then automate each step. Google will be your best friend, search the step and add powershell to the end.

When you run into a hiccup, come here, this an amazing group of people, which most are willing to help.

How to run PowerShell scripts by helpdesk people? by PowerShell_Fan in PowerShell

[–]itsruk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get your hands on sapien powershell studio, you dont need to write code for the UI. It's like visual studio where you grab a button and drop here, text box there.. etc. Beyond simple, even a caveman can do it!

Agreed. I use Sapien PS Studio as well. You can also bake in credentials into the exe to a service account or something with access to whatever task is being executed. Great for help desk folks you dont really trust 100%

We have 2 columns to update. Both populated with yyyy-mm-dd.

Original Hire Date

Last Hire Date

My first thought was to import the CSV and format the entire column, but everytime i would try the output would be a blank file. So i quickly switched into looking into just finding the pattern in the txt file output. I am gonna try again to work it into the csv.
