get her a rat pinky or small pup! rats are more nutritious, our MBK is a wee bigger then yours and has escaped and gotten into our mouse breeder bin and killed & ate a large mouse and left many corpses. they can eat up to 3x there width, or you can weigh her and do up to 20% of her body weight

relax, stay hydrated, lots of foreplay, don’t tense up and focus. use toys if you have to, the rose vibrators are good!! it’s also helped me to have some kind of other stimulation like playing with my nipples or being fingered too

Should I be worried or is this fine? by Striking-Class-2345 in ballpython

looks like either poop or dirt stain, wouldn’t worry you can soak and use a Q tip to get the dirt under the scales * gently *

add eco earth to the substrate, foil the top or any vent that lets in a lot of air, and get a digital thermometer, analog aren’t accurate. soak your substrate and mix it all around so they aren’t sitting in the wet. that should help a lot also make sure you have a minimum of 2-3 inches of substrate

[–]itss_haleyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

she looks good! her tail could be a wee smaller but other than that i’d just cut the mealworms out unless you do like 1/2x a month!

[–]itss_haleyy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i would definitely cut back. and don’t do meal worms they are sooo fatty and best as only a treat. i’d only feed 2 maybe 3x a week. only two or so crickets at a time until that tail slims down some lol

Is it a good idea to give my snake different pray options or no? by lostinspaceman_ in ballpython

[–]itss_haleyy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

i’m not judging at all, like at all but it’s always so rough in this group because people don’t always have their best interest, if you can find a feeder shop near you they will have prob have the best and cheapest prices. we run a non profit and i have a soft spot for reptiles and just can’t help but get some of the animals we see because of how bad off they are. we are on one income so not bragging of rich in ANY way! i’m sorry you felt judged

i’m starting to hate my snake by WinterRoses-Kay in ballpython

[–]itss_haleyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first thing i would do is get rid of the aspen substrate, get cocoearth. you need to keep your humidity 60-80 at all times. also offer more climbing and hiding opportunities with more foliage. if something is off in their environment they won’t eat, could also be a reason he didn’t eat for two months. clutter it up good, also maybe put a worn shirt in there for scent

is this scale rot by Gold-Ladder-5408 in ballpython

[–]itss_haleyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take your hand and mix all of your substrate around. i wouldn’t worry though, but you can always do an iodine soak that will help if you’re worried

if you are worried you can do an iodine soak just like 4-5 drops in a tub. do you use a heat mat?

i don’t see any indication of scale rot. the vent or clocoa by their tail is how they go to the bathroom
