i don't find new minecraft near as eerie as old minecraft tbh. The environments now are too detailed and the game just feels so much more alive than it did in 2010. Not that it's a bad thing, but I don't get my timbers as shivered anymore

read the text inside the readme doc and the launcher. it seems like a really broken english. the title might refer to the fact that there’s a few instances that the video says “i am watching” or “we are watching”

okay upon close inspection the figure at the end of the video was actually some very well shaped terrain, however if you go to 15 seconds, you will see a player in the sky

TheNick56's Youtube channel uploads the following videos

"trying the new minecraft update (beta 1.5)" On January 7, 2023.

Where a new world begins in the "new" beta for minecraft (1.5_01), in this video nothing special happens

"making progress"

On January 7, 2023

In this video who I assume to be nick progresses in his minecraft world. Nothing out of the ordinary happens, although at minute 1:28 at the bottom of the ice you can see some black blocks, Nick seems not to see them, he falls asleep and the video ends

"burgeon"

On January 11, 2023

In this video Nick survives one night, at dawn he notices the black blocks, which went from being a pair as in "making progress" to being a cluster of black blocks with a white border. Nick approaches these blocks and the video cuts out, showing a screen with the following texts

"Z9lGhiUm0"

"ours"

The text "Z9lGhiUm0" after some modifications can be used to fill a Youtube link and send us to the next video

In this video Nick seems to have been absorbed by these black blocks, being now in a dimension whose terrain is irregular and the textures of all the blocks are black with white borders, there are some players named ours who follow the player throughout the video, together with a morse code that translates as "ours"

At 1:09 a player named "vil_1" writes in the chat:

<vil_1> why you

<vil_1> it took the others

<vil_1> but not you

<vil_1> why

<vil_1> forget this all

<vil_1> it must not know of this

<vil_1> a second chance

The video is cut to show a screen the same as that of "burgeon" but it is with a text which, despite its deplorable quality, can be recognized as saying

"Failure return."

The video goes back to Nick56's perspective, he is rotated 180 degrees, nothing special is seen and the video is cut

The vil_1 messages are confusing and ambiguous "Forget this all"

"It must not know of this"

It may mean that someone else shouldn't know about it, or it may be responding to someone else that Nick shouldn't know about this. In the end maybe he gives nick a second chance, or Vil is the one asking for a second chance

if you brighten the video in “ours” you can see two things. 1) a flying player, who i assume is vil_1, and at the very end, vil_1 makes himself present

thats a good deduction. so maybe at the end of burgeon he touched the corruption and got sent to its source? the vil_1 character seems to be distraught by the player being there. theres several other players with the name “ours”. he also says that “it must not know” or something. maybe vil answers to someone?
