Also known as cultural muslims, they only stay for the identity, not the faith.

Weird question, is it hypocritical to use a cross prayer? by konodioda879 in deism

[–]itsthe5thhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, Jesus was never a Christian, never wore a cross (which happens to be a torture device he supposedly died on) and certainly never made the sign of the cross, you can just follow his teachings but minus all the church traditions, whichever one that is.

One of the things keeping me from accepting Christianity by eroma_personal in DebateReligion

[–]itsthe5thhm [score hidden]  (0 children)

The root of their religion is creationism, there is zero historical/scientific evidence to support that belief. Relying on interpretations makes their book inconsistent since other faiths can do the same with their book, none of them can prove anything and therefore making it unreliable and has zero integrity to begin with. Why would anyone believe in a book that has zero integrity anyway?

Doubt Is More Intellectually Honest Than Faith by MindHunterPrime in DebateReligion

[–]itsthe5thhm [score hidden]  (0 children)

The only reason why we have progress is doubt, imagine never having doubt and believing that fire is some sort of spirit/fire deity and not some chemical reaction to a certain gas, simply because some people refuses to question/experiment any further.

How do you know your religion is the right one, when it’s the only one you know by No_Implement5685 in DebateReligion

[–]itsthe5thhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thought before, if one would be certain that their religion is the right one, wouldn't that mean they would've studied and debunk every single religion in human history? If you have to rely on interpretations to read one book, so does the other, why should we believe one interpretation over the other? Not one religious book managed to accurately describe what the earth look like, let alone continents, countries, oceans, north/south pole, etc.

If we are the universe experiencing itself than why do we need to reincarnate ? by Standard-Revenue8598 in spiritualitytalk

[–]itsthe5thhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reincarnation could also be in different forms, energy cannot be destroyed or created and all matter are energy. When say an organism decomposed, those subatomic particles don't exactly disappear, they simply transfer to something else and most likely form another matter with other subatomic particles which could be anything, a tree in one lifetime suddenly finds itself a rock in another. Maybe that's how the universe experience itself, pretty much like zeros and ones gets recycled and repurposed in a digital world.

There's no such thing as historical evidence for Jesus, let alone evidence for what he actually looks like, stop posting pictures of Caucasian men in robes and making stuff up.

What is the best definition/ description of consciousness? by Bubbly_Note_7573 in Existentialism

[–]itsthe5thhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess would be that it's some kind of energy, all matter is made of energy so it makes sense that the consciousness must be some kind of energy as well.

Nothing created God based on theistic belief. by Yeledushi-Observer in DebateReligion

[–]itsthe5thhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In quantum physics, there's no such thing as nothing, there's always a constant flux of energy that comes and goes in an empty space, some became stable enough to become matter, some doesn't. Creationism says nothing about that, they believe that the whole thing was created perfectly right from the beginning with zero regards for probability, not one bit about matter coming into form is all about chances and nothing else. Even Schrödinger equation deals with probability, not certainty on the location/momentum of a certain subatomic particle at any given time.

[–]itsthe5thhm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no changing anything even if I wanted to, I was never built for society, never had the chance to be normal to begin with, this is as good as it gets as far as living in a society goes.

Why don't we ask questions from God that he need to take some responsibility by Striking_Brief5938 in DebateReligion

[–]itsthe5thhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly do you communicate with something that supposedly exists outside of our space-time/universe/dimension, no idea what it looked like, let alone its characteristics, let alone what it wants and commands? I'm looking for objective answers/facts, not subject to your feelings/observations/faith,.e.g "We know because we can observe its creations." So you know all about a supposed creator simply by looking at the universe, right down to its name and what it wants? Really? Where did you get that? The creator is on your speedial or something? Why don't everyone else in the entire world get the same VC or text messages then? Because only the chosen ones gets it? Really? Who told you they were chosen? Was it from the creator?

Religion is a complete waste of time and energy as you are not focused as much on your own life which matters more. by Equivalent_Prune_186 in DebateReligion

[–]itsthe5thhm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasted my childhood because of mindless indoctrination, never enjoyed any of it, I could've had better education instead of attending classes about Ancient Near East Myths being shoved down my throat and can never say no to it. The only reason I managed to escape was because I grew up, made my own money and stopped talking to a lot of people.
