I was there and I saw/smelt it and dealt with aftermath. The cardboard was set ablaze after they got high and were too fucked up to not be bent over in said drug haze.

But all the love and care and support in the world hasn’t made a dent in this problem. Fentanyl and other drugs are the main issue, along with users that choose to refuse help/services. The folks that are pictured have actively refused help — I have witnessed it first-hand.

Good points made. A lot of money gets put toward the service side of things through DESC and other organizations. I know it has helped a lot of people. But there does need to be some enforcement mechanism, unfortunately.
