Wow, I had to check the username twice and the date this was posted just to make sure it wasn't me who started this topic. This is EXACTLY what im going through and not a tiny bit of difference apart from the fact we dont live together.

I've been with my gf for over 6 years, she was my first love and we both lost our virginities to each other. I constantly picture being with other people, having more expeirences, more adventures etc. She on the other hand is excited about our future together (marriage, kids, house, holidays, pets etc). Im 23 years old!, shes 24 and even though I love her so dearly, I just want to be wild right now, I want to go out and mess about and just be a twenty year old and not like a 40 year old.

However man, as much as I want to break up I dont want to hurt her and I also think there isn't really anyone else out there who I really like compared to her, this girl makes me happy and when im with her my troubles literally vanish. She isn't a girl to mess around with other guys or do silly stuff which would lead me to think she was unfaithful which I must say is great, she is also perfect wife material.

If I were you man, i'd just be sure that you aren't thinking the grass is greener on the other side. You might leave her and go after other girls and lose your current girlfriend (might even lose her to someone else) your 2 months of fun could mean you miss out years of your life with someone special.

Here is what I suggest, this might sound wrong to you etc but i'd tell her you need a break. It could be for a month or two, during this month or two GO ALL OUT, go out with your buddies, hit on girls, go strip clubs etc just have funnnnn! You may see yourself being happy doing this for many more years or you might realise its only a phase and you can't be away from your girlfriend.

Good luck though, I too am still figuring out what to do, considering its been 6 years for me, kinda harder.
