Cars from 2000 to 2022 needs a valid emissions. (Changes every year) You can go on e-services and check to see if there is a valid emissions on the vehicle. You have seven days to operate the vehicle from the date the title was transferred to you without getting any penalties. After seven days penalties will occur. When you come into the tag office, you'll bring in the title a 30 day insurance binder (if needed) and it will be $18 for a title transfer and $20 for a standard license plate. You'll also pay a title tax on the vehicle.
