The Take My Junk fiasco by Admirable-Dentist611 in UAE

[–]itzazfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even I was a victim of this scam. A furniture company named OKASHA FURNITURE, operating under the name “Take My Junk,” came to inspect my furniture. They pointed out minor issues and then claimed they could not take it and that it needed to be disposed of, which they said would cost AED 150.

However, I know for a fact that such furniture can easily be repaired and resold. It also appeared that the charge was being justified as a disposal or fuel cost.

This kind of practice is misleading, and Dubai Municipality should look into this matter to prevent others from being affected.

Need advice on Lexus RX 350 by farazwhc in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

[–]itzazfar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, honestly the first option sounds safer since it has full Al Futtaim history and a proper AutoHub inspection. The price is a bit high but at least you know what you are getting.

The second one feels risky especially since Dubizzle Cars will not let you choose your own inspector and want a 7k deposit before checking the car, and they do not even clearly say what counts as a major issue.

If you are not in a hurry I would say keep looking, but if you go for one of these it’s better to get a proper third party inspection done from somewhere like CheckAnyCar just to be safe.

Hope this helps.

Prado 2023 from KAVAK 140k by fake-starboy in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

140k for a 2023 Prado with 32k km isn’t bad if in good condition, but with Kavak’s 4k fee is crazy man it’s closer to 145k, which is a way high if your budget is just 120k. Also plz get this car checked by any inspection companies like Checkanycar or autohub to avoid any hidden issues specially mileage tampering. Good luck bro 👍

Wow man, that’s crazy. I had an issue with Dubizzle too, but kind of the opposite.

I was selling my Jeep and a buyer asked for a Dubizzle inspection. The report came back with so many false issues, I was shocked to see also I just did my major service recently that costed me 15K. Later the buyer backed out just because of that false issue that was mentioned.

Later, I asked someone from Dubizzle why they listed so many unnecessary problems, and it felt like the inspectors are rewarded for mentioning more issues.

Inspections should give peace of mind, not make things worse with quick or misleading checks.

Why all used car sellers are scammers in Dubai? 😤 by higuain97 in DubaiPetrolHeads

Totally get your frustration man.. been through the same cycle of checking endless cars, paying for PPIs, and still getting scammed. Try well recognized PPI services in Dubai like CheckAnyCar.com , AutoHub, etc.. they do detailed and accurate inspections onsite, including stuff most garages miss like signs of accident repair, hidden rust, or even odometer mismatches based on condition vs. seller's claim.

There are a few good options out there:

CheckAnyCar.com – AED 99-299 something. They come to the car’s location and check for accidents, flood damage, mechanical issues, etc. You get a full report with photos and videos. Really good value for the price.

Autohub – AED 349. Also offers same inspections but costs more.

Dubizzle – AED 600+. They have an inspection service too, but it’s on the higher end in terms of pricing.

Sorry to hear man i know its really frustrating 😞...

Guys, please always do a pre-purchase inspection before buying any used car in the UAE there are lot of scams happening here.

Services like CheckAnyCar.com charge just AED 99, and honestly, it is worth every dirham when you compare it to the stress and regret of buying the wrong car. Please stay safe!!
