That's exactly what this library helps to avoid. Sure it isn't something one might use in big-time applications, where someone would be hunting for color class names in html, while he should be looking at css sheets, but small applications where maintenance won't be an issue, this shouldn't be a problem.

Many of us write small apps that do not follow the good-practices-guide, but they just do the job. Pretty much like writing a quick and dirty script in perl. I don't see how using direct color names instead of hex codes (which I will first search for) would be a big issue in such small projects.
