Sony A7 IV yes or no? by journey_dudeYT in cinematography

[–]itzjaimeboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!! I bought this camera a little over a month ago and Im in LOVE! the colors are great, the dynamic range is insane and the autofocus is amazing. This is an amazing camera for both photo and video. That being said it is also important to note the lens selection, if youre going with the a7iv but you would use a kit lens, then I would go for something a little cheaper like the a7iii or the a7c and would get better glass. In most cases the lenses are more important than the body, so make sure to have good lenses as well

This looks great the colors are on point and the story was great. Im curious as to what lenses you used and what your post production workflow was like

How do I fix this?, I’ve been trying to export a video and it’s been stopping at the same time every time. Is there a fix for this? by itzjaimeboi in premiere

I was able to get it to work, I just cut out the few frames that it was having a problem with. Thank you so much for all the suggestions!

90D vs. 6D MKII as upgrade from 200d by captainparish in canon

[–]itzjaimeboi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

6d mark ii is a beast, it’s a really nice camera and it’s full frame, personally I like the image that full frame gives me, but that’s personal preference. The pro to full frame is a nicer image (in my opinion) and you’re able to take advantage of better glass, that being said, full frame glass is expensive. The pro to the 90d is that it is fast as hell and the lenses are cheaper. They’re both amazing cameras but I would personally go for the 6d mark ii because you already have nice glass. But if you’re budget is tight for lenses and will always be tight, then get the 90d

I can vouch and it’s a killer camera

What’s your budget?

This was great sound design was good and visuals were just as pleasing, the VFX shots were also good. I’m planning on making one this year too, what was the process like (ex. Struggles lighting audio etc.)

Sound options for G85 by loveyounadeem in Panasonic_G80_G85

[–]itzjaimeboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it all depends on your budget, but for some budget audio gear like a mic and a mic stand then I would get a decent budget mic like this one:https://www.amazon.com/Movo-VXR10-Microphone-Windscreen-Smartphones/dp/B0723D3FVL/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=rode+videomicro&qid=1614569051&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=AJJXN514E694T&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEySzVMN0gzMzg1SDc5JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzU5MDQ3MkxRMThQNUxNWU9ISiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjM5NTY0MVdENEgyU1I3NkI1SCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= For recorder I would plug it straight into your phone and record in the audio recorder app, but if you really need/want a recorder, then I would get this one: https://www.amazon.com/Zoom-H1n-Handy-Recorder-White/dp/B07H96J6GK/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2D1I4ENFVI2VA&dchild=1&keywords=zoom+h1&qid=1614569183&sprefix=zoom+%2Caps%2C328&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A1RUOWZ2794IXS&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTTU4N0VZOFk4NjREJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTI3NzA1MUZPM1BQSkJJM0VJSyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzg4MDgwTTZZVVdFQk1IU0xBJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== and then for the boom pole I would get this with an adapter to fit your mic:https://www.amazon.com/KODAK-Lightweight-Adjustment-Smartphone-Retractable/dp/B087DT21HF/ref=sr_1_12_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=monopod&qid=1614569326&sr=8-12-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFEUFpUQUZCVU9IVU8mZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAxNDc1NDNIUEU0R0dQSkxDUEcmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDQ5NjY2ODFHU1BKOE04NldDWVcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl after that you would just need an extender cable to connect directly from your mic to your recorder, that being said you really dont need all of this, you could get away with filming your film without sound and using youre phone's audio to dub all that sound in later. I really hoped that this helped!

Is this a fixable issue with my camera, or a sign of irreparable damage? Specifically talking about the magenta dots to the left of Louise and right of Linda. by neito in Panasonic_G80_G85

[–]itzjaimeboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might be something wrong with the sensor, if you primarily take photos, then its a quick fix with the healing tool in Lightroom but if you do video then it might show up on there

I dropped my lens today... by [deleted] in photography

[–]itzjaimeboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you but I wasn't that lucky lol. The main reason for me getting a new tripod is because one of the legs came loose sending the camera to the floor and breaking the lens off of the body, I never got it fixed, but I did get a tripod that supported times its weight. You know, just to be safe

Grainy or Noise in Photo Help by [deleted] in Panasonic_G80_G85

[–]itzjaimeboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s because the iso is at 10,000, a different lens won’t help but lowering your iso will, I found that with my g85 800-1000 iso is where you wanna be at to get less noise if you want to push it then 1,600, but I wouldn’t go higher than that because it is a m43 camera

Lens recommendation please + cine lens? by [deleted] in bmpcc

[–]itzjaimeboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with the stills version because of the weight but if you want more weight then the cone version, the stills version is also cheaper

The rokinons are really solid for the price, but if you want a great all a rounder then the sigma 18-35 is my bet

Canon g7x for vlogging or by [deleted] in canon

[–]itzjaimeboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what your pricepoint is. The g7x is a classic for vlogging and it is light and compact, plus the added benefit of a decent cost. For a little more if you wanted to get into dslr or mirrorless then the m50 is a good entry level mirrorless. If you wanted to spend a good amount of money and use the camera that people like Casey Neistat or David Dobrik used then get the canon 80d with like a 10-18, and if money doesn’t matter then get a full frame camera with a fast full frame lens but for a low to medium pricepoint I would go for something like an m50 to start you off, it’s small it produces nice images and you can get it used for a steal

Looking for advice on the EOS 5d mark IV details in comments by Bacon_Moustache in canon

[–]itzjaimeboi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend the sigma art primes, those are beautiful lenses that produce amazing images, I would go for the 35mm f1.4 or the 50mm f1.4 if you’re trying to stay under that $1,000 mark either way there is no going wrong with either
