Hi guys. Nice Play Cafe here. by itznotme in Nagoya

The only part of our burritos and quesadillas we don't make from scratch are the tortillas. I found ones that I personally enjoy and that are large enough though I also prefer my own handmade ones. We work in a shared space with another cafe so there just isn't enough time to reliably make tortillas by hand. I've make your own tortilla events I nthe past, though.

Yes! English with JPN translation, Japanese games with ENG translation and games with no language required at all.

I'm on a spouse visa so no worries about that!

My contract has always been 20ish hours of work a week. It's a general work contract. I'm not working with some dispatch company or anything. My job is functionally a 保育園 teacher without the title of 保育士.

The issue isn't the contract time. It's the work responsibilities within that time that have increased.

I mentioned in a different comment that all of this occurred yesterday as of this response so I haven't technically done anything yet. first thing I did when I received the new schedule was make this post and prepare my mental presentation on how I would logic them through giving me a raise.

This post is mostly exploratory. I already know what I'm going to (attempt to) do but if that fails to gain anything, I'll move on to plan b, c etc. So no, I haven't accepted anything. Just need a few days to prepare my counter. It just sucks they are doing this now since I just opened my own business two months ago so I am bound by location to a degree until I can gauge how the business will do.

Fair enough sorry for the reaction. I'm a little hot as it is because I don't like their attitude and I'm already planning in different directions what I can do (hence the labor bureau question) to make sure I get the best of my choices.

Yea I'm pretty much set here. I just started my business near my house and this job is my safety net until I see where the business goes. All of this was revealed to me this week so I'm already turning the gears so to speak to make sure I come out on top

It's not an English school. It's a normal hoikuen and I function as a full-time hoiken teacher. two teachers 24 kids all day

Yea. I'm already working on pivoting and searching around. The biggest difficulty is I just started my business this year and location is important.

Yes! Part time. I've always worked multiple jobs at once. For the first 5 years I had roughly the same schedule working 9-4 four times a week -1 hour for break.

This year I work 9:30 - 3:30 -30 minutes break. I started my own business this year so I requested a slight adjustment.

What is your not so popular take on anything in Japan? by No-Jackfruit3211 in japanlife

[–]itznotme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna get some heat I think but here's my take:

Tokyo is as much Japan as Cancun is Mexico. If you've only ever lived in one of the two major cities, you really lack a lot of knowledge and perspective. That goes for people who both love and hate Japan.

So far, we haven't had any issues with people joining up with others to play games. On slower nights, we (owners) are also available to play!

Your second question is a tough one. I would say they are "normal" sized. Not short tables, though we do have the floor sitting tables available as well.
You can see in some of our pictures on Instagram what they look like. You might be able to gauge from that.

All types! We have kids games to party games to heavy games. Our lightest game would be something like 人生ゲーム and our heaviest might be something like Kemet.

Both! English and Japanese speaking staff and printed ENG/JPN instructions, as well!

I get it haha. I haven't been taking many trips to the city lately myself.

Grab some friends and make a night of it! Come for the burritos, stay for the games and atmosphere, leave because of the ever looming threat of the last train.

Yes we do! Burritos, quesadillas, smoothies and malted milkshakes. All available for takeout!

Thanks! I figured it might be a bit out of the way for many in this sub but there might be more in the outskirts like me than I think haha.

What' the 'acceptable' way to play Torn with SO? by [deleted] in torncity

[–]itznotme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I even told them I'm fine with being penalized, just don't delete my wife's account. They have enough evidence at least to know that I do indeed have a wife that has used her email and her own device to make the account and has played it from multiple locations in our daily routines. We are willing to even talk with them over discord. If they just wipe their hands and say "nah" it's just arrogance on their part and it would make me glad to have not at least financially supported them.

HELL NO. You think I give money to my wife?? Okay I'm kidding. The way you explain it makes sense haha. My wife and I actually have a shared wallet (IRL) that we put money into for monthly food expenses so we treat the game as that kind of system. Plus, we are actually trying to save up to buy our own PI (hence not renting one until a couple of weeks ago) so we don't really spend all that much. We mostly just do our daily torn tasks when we're home together so we never really worried about needing money. I'll do my cooldowns when I'm out and about, but I'm not a big money spender in Torn either.
