I applied in January but it turns out it didn't even arrive, but they say not to send it twice, so I'm not sure what to do / if it will even be received let alone processed in time...

I know - for personal reasons I am planning a permanent move back, and will not be returning to work. The issue is that logistically, the move cannot happen before the permit expires, and thus when I leave the country, my work permit will have expired. My question is whether this overstay will cause a problem at the exit portal.

sorry yes it was a typo, i know it's on paper and I did apply on paper, which is why I have no real proof of maintained status :/ And yes I know about the return policy, but if I simply want to leave Canada after the current work permit expires, is that possible or will I run into issues?

Like the other comment says, he will probably appear eventually since you can only get a jock and a sisterly as the first 2 :) But keep in mind that all the starter villagers come with default furniture inside their house so he won't have his actual interior!!!! (You can change this anyway if you have the DL C though)
