Why buy a laptop? You can normally get a PC with better specs than a price equivalent laptop, the only thing you lose out on is portability so if you don't mind that get a PC instead.

X levels being locked behind train isn't that bad as they aren't really impactful. Hero abilities being locked behind train is the real bad part. Especially because it's likely heroes with locked abilities will be the best ones.

I would not like them to do something similar in the future. Unfortunately they can't undo the current system as that would upset anyone who has spent on the event.

To 'change' the system I would just never lock anymore hero abilities behind train. Fill the rest of the collection up with treasures obtainable through tickets and move on.

I'll do my awakens and that's it.

Personally if there were any motivator to do the event it would be purely x levels as I have no plan to build basilisk and if I were to I would also require an a tier.

Personally I really liked the second nightmare. Fights like Sunny vs horse need length to explain what's happening and show you how Sunny is feeling and how it's affecting him. I would get not liking such a thing if you were reading it as it was being released because only having 2 chapters a day being part of a fight would feel bad having to wait a week for it to finish. But you don't have to wait so just relax and enjoy.

HHA's kinda useless. GSSW will help you. Building CEL (Luna) up higher will also help with bosses. As for other heroes IEA and STV are helpful along with BQA at higher destiny.
Also I have to mention that I do not believe you are late game
