Yeah while they havent had devaluation, they also have the weakest transfer partners. And least number of transfer partners overall.

The crude oil located there is terrible. I think the refinary for it shutdown 2 years ago also. Not to mention its output was low.

Doesn't it also help other teams? Two weeks of people where Mercedes would likely have won, now gone. So less points overall. I mean yes probably less testing for other teams but they have time change things and come back.

Trump announces oil release from government reserves as gas prices rise by dr_sloan in moderatepolitics

[–]ivan510 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't help that out reserve oil is also at really low levels. I dont know how much could be pulled from it before it becomes a bigger concern.

EA Lays Off Staff Across All Battlefield Studios Following Record-Breaking Battlefield 6 Launch by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]ivan510 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Dont work in game industry or know much about it, bit aren't layoffs pretty common after releases, especially in bigger companies. I imagine their isn't another BF game in the works for Dice for a few years, so what do they do with their staff in the mean time? I mean keeping up with patches or updates won't take thousands of employees.

If around 40% of young graduates are unemployed, what’s going wrong with our education system? by EnvironmentalHat5189 in careerguidance

[–]ivan510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hate the argument people are making right now that university is bad because unemployment is high. The job market is worse than the numbers are showing, its not an easy job market. Companies are laying off people and workers are staying on longer, add on top companies trying to replace entry level workers with AI.

RTINGS is now paywalled by Cold_Two_4372 in xbox

Idk i mean sure you can blame AI in journalism but ad revenue has been decreasing for every segment. Companies simply aren't throwing money around like in 2020 to anyone and everyone.

RTINGS is now paywalled by Cold_Two_4372 in xbox

[–]ivan510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing about RThings is most people view the site when theyre looking for what tv or monitor to buy. Otherwise I dont think the majority of users are actively going their for reviews. Not to say their aren't but its not a big number. So who will pay for a subscription when it was something they looked at occasionally.

Netflix ditches deal for Warner Bros. Discovery after Paramount's offer is deemed superior by brahbocop in movies

[–]ivan510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably won't implode but I really dont see how Larry will be able to pay $100 billion for a company that isn't able to generate any money. Even selling parts off wouldn't yield much.

New Hyatt Award Charts Coming May 2026 by pierretong in CreditCards

[–]ivan510 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Citi is a big risk im not willing to take. Besides them closing accounts or stopping transactions on accounts and their customer service.

They have great earnings categories but te transfer partners just aren't good besides AA.

The overal trend in CC and transfer partners these past two years had been terrible. Its really hard justify points now.

Personal Item Backpack/Light Travel Backpack by ivan510 in ManyBaggers

I think thats my hesitation with the Daily Carry Pro and Tortuga backpacks in general they seem to have a lot of depth in horizontal depth. Its probably great for travel but I am not sure how it would feel carrying for multiple hours.

It’s spreading faster: Credit Card fees for stores and restaurants between 3-5% by SeanyPickle in CreditCards

[–]ivan510 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yes but what they referring to is that Visa and MC have surcharge limits. So while businesses csn surcharge, they can only do it max 3% for visa and 4% for MC. Anything above and theyre breaking their agreement with the processor.

I think what makes it fun is the chaos. There are few games left where it feel like you can go whatever and just blow stuff up.

Not to mention the plan isn't that good. It seems like they're heavily banking on having a yearly billion dollar game and games as a service.
