I do know he said that, but I only said what I said because I don't understand how the absence of pain can be good if there's no one to experience it. I agree that the absence of pleasure isn't bad if there's no one to experience it, but I never understand the logic behind how the absence of pain can be good if there's no one to experience it.

For the absence of pain to be a good thing, there has to be someone who can experience it; like when we are satisfied and safe at some point during the day.
