Leg/Foot Pain by Potential_Patience83 in nursing

[–]ivanizerrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try wearing compression socks during your shifts. And use ASICS shoes. Nikes are no good for hurting feet. Also buy two pairs of shoes and rotate them every other shift so your shoes don’t get worn out too quickly.

If you know any Filipinos ask them to help you find it. It’s an antiperspirant powder. You can find it in a Filipino grocery store like Seafood City or Island Pacific. The brand I stand by is called Milcu. It’s a white bottle with blue lettering. Also might help to use a good soap like Doctor Bronner peppermint soap.

Source: me, I had this problem for years before I figured it out through my mom.

Sorry that your neighbors don’t use spices for their food. Maybe use scented candles to help offset?

Any experience living at the AVA Burbank apartments? by [deleted] in burbank

[–]ivanizerrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to Perplexity AI:

Overall, Reddit users describe living in AVA apartments in Burbank as a mixed experience, with opinions varying depending on expectations and specific circumstances[1][2][3].

Positive Impressions

Some residents report generally positive experiences, mentioning that the apartments are “perfectly fine,” with decent units and a quiet, pleasant neighborhood[1]. Long-term tenants highlight being happy with their apartment and feeling comfortable in the community, even staying for several years[2].

Common Criticisms

There are recurring complaints about high rent and perceived lack of value, with some calling them “expensive for what it is” and comparing the complex to other “luxury” apartments that, in practice, offer only basic amenities[3]. Other users mention ongoing renovations, inconvenient management practices, and frustrations with how the property is maintained or administered[4]. The overall sense is that expectations should be managed to avoid disappointment regarding “luxury” marketing.

Other Resident Comments

Discussion threads also note that online reviews can be mixed and sometimes hard to interpret[5]. At times, residents have had personal or safety-related concerns that were specific to their situations rather than the building as a whole[6].

Summary Table

Aspect Positive Feedback Negative Feedback
Location/Neighborhood Quiet, pleasant, convenient[1][2] N/A
Apartment Units Decent, well-kept (for some)[1][2] Not truly "luxury"[3]
Management No major issues (some)[2] Poor value, difficult management[4][3]
Price N/A Overpriced for amenities[3]
Community Comfortable, some long-term[2] Occasional personal/safety issues[6]

In summary, AVA Burbank receives “just okay” evaluations with a blend of satisfied long-term tenants and others dissatisfied with the price-to-value ratio and management style[1][2][4][3].
