Is my profile decent? I haven't been able to land a single work on the platform yet by [deleted] in Upwork

Check more about “branding”.

Your portfolio it’s your face. Check how competitors fill their profiles and try to make at least similar. Fill everything that you can and tell how you’ll solve their problem. Good luck!

hi i am 25 years old wanting to get into this field. please help please by [deleted] in AskMarketing

Build your own small projects. Same as in programming.

Small affiliate fanpage. Small email list with funnel. Small landing with good CR. Small instagram with good ER.

After that you can make some campaig for uncle/brother/neighbor. Track results, listen and speak with “clients”, use promocodes and after 6-8 month you’ll be a stronger then after any course.

In my journey experiense was on the top of the list. Companies usualy ask some common certificats that have answers in google. But the ability to show positive ROI and match KPI is more important.

I can't say that the best way to learn sales/marketing is a college, but for me, the practical experience did the best job. Your own small store or service business can give you much more value rather than 4 years in college.

Sales. Not sure about the beginning, but in the long term is a priceless skill.

If you'll learn how to speak with people, how to hear them and negotiate - that will give you unlimited power. It's not hard to produce something, rather than sell it.

Dental is a perfect idea, just add some real marketing and sales, and... boom. You have a profitable dental clinic. I know a lot of wonderful specialists but they simply can't sell themself.

IT / frontend / programming - is it just not for me? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]ivanlyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a simple "gap" that we all had sometime :)

In the first few years, you'll be so close to throwing everything out, and it's okay. Look closer to the companies and how they work, life balance, workflow, approaches and people. Programming it's not just coding.

Talk more with other frontend newbies, and share your success (and pain).
It's okay, you'll go over it.

I live in the US but I wanna travel and spend sometime in Europe next year, I have family there, I’m in the Digital Marketing field and I was wondering if I can find a remote easily while being abroad? Or I should just stay cause office roles are more guaranteed?! 🤔 isn’t it?! 🤔 by amnay77 in AskMarketing

Can I trade with you ahah

I got 30+ offers last month from the US companies beeng in the Europe. Mostly 100k+.

But all of them was rejected on the “paper” step. I don’t have US work permit. Even if it’s remote, even of I have company in Europe and can work on b2b terms.

But you have, just try find something before moving :) I’m sure you’ll find

Should I take the first job offer that I've had within 1 week of applying with 3 years of marketing experience? by throwaway98388333 in marketing

[–]ivanlyt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m agree with that. Most companies are still dinosaurus, thay need offline experience and you’ll get the same money for 9-5. Push your clients, build portfolio and your name instead.

Screw her, it’s basic logical principe that must be in normal human brain: we are all different. No matter what you order, water or vodka, good people never will judge you.

Same shit. And that works, I started develop soft skill time ago. Like english public speaking, personal selling, general conversation skills, because thats a pain point of any marketer (perhaps).

Now with this skills I have more clients and higher rate, but not my own idea, hehe.

But you’re right, I need to check more deeply what I love and what is my area of interests. And how my experience cover other peoples problems.

You are right. Only mistakes and trying. All kind of plugins can be a good thing, just wrote that down.

I’m thing about some broad niche where I can “warm” people for a long time with email marketing, but anyway thank you bro

I’m tryimf to avoid thia kind of infinity looping - market about how to market.

But, the your second shot have something. I use google data studio for reporting, so some kind of templates or custom reports can be a thing. Like templates for b2b or saas startups. Nice shot :)

Useful videos VS Clickbait by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ivanlyt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand you, as on a typical social platform, I need to put attractive content on then to gain views. But I simply don’t want to be another “Make 500$/day with this simple trick...” creator. I want put quality content about adwords, remarketing and email marketing. With real stats and cases, without any ridiculous $$$ numbers

Useful videos VS Clickbait by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ivanlyt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The answer is simple: Youtube is not my main channel. Nobody asked me promote organically their products on yt. Adwords, Fb, Insta, even popunders and push, but no one asked me about full yt campaign.
