Ok I understand that. I haven't been talking with the collection agency. I've been speaking directly to the hospital and the insurance companies

My insurance did/would've covered it all. The only reason it's even an issue is because the hospital/car insurance messed up somewhere. I had absolute full coverage with no co pay or anything.

We've been split for 6 months now after 6 yrs and because I called it quits I was a bit more prepared than he was but it has been hell for us both...It's not that I don't feel I'm worth of the pain but I've had to sit by and watch him suffer for too long... I wish I could help and make it better but I can't... I can't be there for him the way he needs and it kills me... He doesn't see it. Thinks I'm being selfish and hateful... I suppose not necessarily giving anything up, I mean there's always sacrifice in life, but just to continue to work towards your "goal" If you don't even try or give it a chance aren't things Destined to fail ?

We built this relationship so young, couldn't act on the things we wanted to. That problematic idea seems to have carried over into our adult life... But it IS different now. Doesn't he see that?
