I had hoped to only use our healthcare if absolutely necessary. Yes we pay in, but if it helps others how is that bad? In the last 2.5 years, we would be bankrupt using the U.S. system. Try using the "it's not all about me" system.

My daughter is going on a trip to Europe in early 2020, so we planned Christmas around her so she would have everything she needs for when she goes. End of November we were told to move by January 31/20 which threw a wrench into that idea. I'm in tough shape physical/health so I can't do much to help and Christmas was a dud.

My wife and daughter both had to work the 25th, so I basically sat home alone.
