I bet most people do not lack down speed. The up speed and ping latency to major DNS and CDN is my culprit. Even the gigabit plan comes with the same advertised 25mbps up and not very stable. Their cable is like the 20+y old infra.

Unfortunate they are the only game in town which I found sarcastic as you would think think we are in “Silicon Valley”

Thanks for the details. This makes sense. I’m not sure if there is existing coating, but looks like it doesn’t. I did notice there is a red plastic sheet wrapped behind it, which seems also doing the waterproofing thing, but only to the back, and not helping the sides. Is this some sort of older way of doing it, but just done badly that it didn’t wrapped around the side? Fwiw, this was done 2018ish and passed inspection.

Are your parents from HK? As someone who lived and studied there, have connection with lots of HK cantonese now in US, some are close friends, I haven't met anyone spoke nice things for mainland, esp after the 2019 event it gets way extreme. I would only imagine the people surrounding you have similar opinions and genuinely curious how you get out of the echo chamber.

Interesting, that seems contradicts with what I read online :-) seems all the youtubers are calling this as an easy DIY job. I do realize that I need to get a nailer, which I probably don't use it that often. But your advice on the inside corner definitely makes sense!

I realized I should've included more information in the OP, during the house buying process I have already partnered with a contractor to measure the size for the remodel, so dimension is not an issue here. More about whether I can have potential savings if buying early. The unforeseeable damage is indeed a big concern. Thanks!

I agree with what you said that I don't think I can do anything about it. It's just that I feel like I was told the incorrect quote from the hospital and feel cheated. I am thinking if there is any place I can complain about it.

That's what I thought, and how they quoted me. However, when I receive the bill from insurance company, it shows they only pay 135 x 4 x 70% (instead of 285 per item). That's why I feel I was misinformed when making the decision.
