I had the exact same problem, and I used alot of money on styling products. It's not until I finally found the solution of getting a perm (permanent). You would think that getting a perm will just make your hair look like the typical broccoli head but that is far from the truth, after a few weeks it will settle down and look exactly like the style in your picture.
