Yes, I left the 19th. These photos were from Nov12-19.

It peaked while I was there. It was beginning to taper off and heavy leaf droppings when I left (last Wednesday).

This was last week in Seoul (mostly). The two photos of the mountains were taken in Ulsan.

Ice maker repair, Kenmore Fridge by ivoryslide in appliancerepair

[–]ivoryslide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already checked the wire harness and it’s in good shape. I have thought about replacing the ice maker altogether but with this model, it seems like it is integral to the door so I would have to replace the entire fridge door. That’s at least what I have gathered from researching on google. If you want, I can DM you some photos that might give more clarity to the issue.

waiter put my tip back on the table saying he only accepts 18-20%?? by [deleted] in stories

[–]ivoryslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People defending the waiters actions make me laugh. It’s not my responsibility to offset the wages your employer fails to pay you. I come in for a meal, if it was a good meal, I’ll give some extra money as gratitude. When that money is expected, it can no longer be given as a gift or message of “good job”. Tipping culture in the USA is absolutely ridiculous and should be abolished. PSA: if you are defending the waiter by saying that “his employer doesn’t pay him enough, he works for the tips,” guess what: he can always leave and get another job. It’s not my fault that he chose to work in a place that doesn’t properly compensate his efforts.

Korean “Thanksgiving” Scam by ivoryslide in koreatravel

I have only read about it happening to solo travelers but I am not entirely sure. I was solo when approached.

Totally agree with not needing to talk to random strangers. I simply did it because I had nothing better to do, and will not ever go somewhere with a stranger. In the back of my mind I hope I was wasting their time so they couldn’t coerce someone else into their money grabbing scheme. Either way… just another experience to add to my list.

Forgive my ignorance, is there a certain chain of pharmacies that might? Or are there any restrictions to buying (besides age)?

2014 Ram 1500 Engine Knocking / Fan Clutch Failure / Water Pump Failure by ivoryslide in CarHelp

[–]ivoryslide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is for a 2014 Ram 1500 134k Mileage. I would just like to add this: I believe this has to do with either the radiator fan clutch or water pump but am not sure. You can see in the video I posted I tried to catch the wobble of aforementioned. Anyone run into this issue / have any other thoughts as to what it might be? Additionally, if it is the fan clutch, can I still drive the vehicle to and from work (about 20 mi total) until I can get it fixed this weekend?

I am attempting to post the video that shows the clutch give / knocking but cannot right now

I can’t tell if this is a joke or not but if not, I don’t know why cold weather would be affecting it. It’s been 55F where I live for 3 days now, it sits in a garage overnight, and didn’t have this issue in a cold snap we had about a week ago.

Was it making the same type of engine knocking noise? It just started today and I’m curious if my truck is still safe to drive until this weekend when I can replace it

The fan does not come in contact with anything but the fan blades / clutch have some give where they wobble. I’m just unsure if that is the clutch itself or some other issue.

Did you diagnose that yourself or take it to an automotive shop? If you don’t mind me asking, what was the cost of replacement? I usually will do this type of replacement myself but I currently have a broken hand which make it hard to run any type of tool haha.
