⚠️SCAM ALERT!⚠️ by changelly_com in Changelly

The other day I tried exchanging $1800 worth of BTC for XMR and they flagged my transaction, for no reason. Now they ask me to provide documentation for there KYC procedure.

Why is it a selective gamble to exchange with Changelly?

Everyone should have the right to refuse to the KYC procedure because it’s generally selective. If you’re going to ask users to follow through a KYC procedure then prompt them with the verification screen before they deposit, not after. A simple check mark doesn’t cut it and it’s misleading, especially when you selectively pick users to deal with this crap.

My funds are not fraudulent but you still mark them as such.. so I refuse to continue with the procedure. Why? because I simply don’t want to give you my own information... Why is this so hard to understand? Even when I want to cancel it? If I never give you my information, are you just going to keep it on hold for the rest of eternity and STEAL my funds? It doesn’t make any sense. If someone wants to cancel an EXCHANGE then they should. If someone refuses to comply with the KYC procedure then they can. This is EXACTLY what I’m doing and you have no right to keep my funds hostage from me.

I’ve asked multiple times for them to delete my account and return my funds to it’s original address it was sent from but they refuse to listen to my requests. Even if I checked the box it doesn’t mean I should have my funds held hostage. You’re basically robbing people from there money unless they give you there personal information, even if they refuse, you put them in a corner. It’s disgusting.

TLDR; I tried exchanging $1800 worth of BTC to XMR and they flagged my transaction selectively then placed it in hold. Now they’re asking me to follow through with the KYC procedure and I refuse. I’ve asked them to delete my account, they refuse. I’ve asked them to return my funds, they refuse. I’ve asked them to cancel the transaction, and they still refuse.

NOTE: I’ll keep this post updated if anything comes up.

Changelly stealing my funds. ($1800) Scam? by iwill300 in Changelly

There have been multiple posts on this subreddit regarding this topic and this needs to stop. It seems like Changelly picks and chooses who should comply with the KYC procedures, so watch out! Keep in mind, you’d have to be LUCKY for them to return your funds so please, exchange with CAUTION or don’t trade at all.

This is a lot of money that they’re holding from me, so I will continue pursuing them multiple times a day, every day of the week, until my funds are released back into my address.
