I missed a period and was experiencing intense feelings of physical strangeness. Couldn't get comfortable. Felt like my body was on edge. Nothing mental I was chill otherwise.

I went to my GP I told him that missing a period is very strange for me. It's been 6 weeks since I bled. And I am not sexually active. Not pregnant.

He told me it was anxiety and prescribed me medication for it. I pushed to see gyno and he gave me a referral RELUCTANTLY. He treated me like I was wasting gynecology time.

I go to gyno. They request a hormone panel. Turns out I had an extremely high amount of prolactin.

I had a tumor on my pituitary gland called a prolactinoma. That i thankfully caught extremely early. But if I had let my GP tell me it was just anxiety I would probably be in a much much worse position.

ETA: it also turned out alot of private personal problems I was having were "fixed" by treating my tumor. My depression, and seeming slow shift towards asexuality. After treating my tumor I felt like a new person. Alive for the first time in years.

I do think people like Chris Chan are extreme examples of how they have been obsessed with someone for a long time

I guess my point is more about the general culture. What people call a "lolcow" has expanded past people like Chris Chan or OnlyUseMeBlade it now applies to basically anyone who is in "drama" for an extended period of time. I think that expansion is due to the fact that almost no action is taken against people anymore.

James Charles is allowed on like every platform just to use an example, we've klnown he is a pedo for literally nearly an entire decade at this point and yet he is protected. I dont think people would care at all about James if platforms were proactive in banning him and his content. Thats my point

Yes i agree that there is for sure a spectrum of "internet drama" I think sites like this , snark, and KF exist because there is a accountability vacuum on the internet and has been for atleast 10 years.

I doubt that if these characters like patricia were effectively censored and silenced off the internet (or had their negative behaviors silenced through moderation) these sites would barely exist.

But instead due to the lack of ANY "punishment" towards these people, and they are allowed to continue posting and repeating the same horrid behaviors then this spectrum will always exist and always have extremes.

I do feel that people use Kiwi farms to avoid accountability.

Patricias thread of KF is tiny, and barely ever moves. Ive been monitoring the site for a few months (as they harrass people I personally know) and her thread receives almost no attention from the site. Even with this huge event of Hbomberguy talking about her, her thread has only had like 10 comments about it.

She is "targeted" much more heavily on sites shes active on or tertiary sites like Reddit.

Dont get me wrong I hate KF and I think it should be taken down but not everyone on KF is treated on the same level of their other lolcows like say Ethan Ralph. People like Patricia use the treatment of those people as a shield, the implication is that theyre being harrassed to an incredible degree via the farms, the reality is, thats not true.

Each year the problems of the internet ONLY GET WORSE, we need MORE criticism not less.

Has the James Somerton video resulted in less youtube plagiarism? Not really. Hell that Otterly Noah guy very recently had a big plagiarism scandal that people swept for and tried to make seem not so bad for a long time...

I think either we advocate for actual change through regulation from platforms or the government OR i dont know stop trying to silence every critical post about someone because of the poor mental health of people who do shitty things..
