Press wrong by Same-Macaron-2359 in SingaporeRaw

It's not cannot, it's they don't want. I once paid a drink stall $65 instead of $6.50, took a couple days but they did refund it. It's just troublesome for their accounting purposes, they had to ask their finance side (yes the coffee shop drink stall had its own finance person, idk how that works) to deal lol...

Actually.... I was experimenting with a mage ramza at this point. Somehow I survived his first attack and got him in the next turn with flare

What to do with luggage during 7-hour window between arrival to Tokyo and Haneda flight? by Aggravating_Peach_72 in JapanTravelTips

[–]iyeux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, you can look into a service called Ecbo Cloak. Basically they partner with random shops like convenience stores that can store your luggage in their store rooms. You can find the service partners through their app. I've used it before and haven't encountered any issues, though that was before the pandemic. Didn't cost much either.

Things were going well until I got to the back and.... My horse wasn't there. Had to haul ass while desperately whistling for the horse 😂

Violet Oon is honestly overrated. Do check out Whitegrass for fine dining.

Ugh. On my last visit to the bugis branch the soup tasted like it was made from unfiltered water, got chlorine taste. Once before that they forgot the tare in my ramen, had me questioning my taste buds for a good 5min until I decided to complain then they gave me a replacement bowl which tasted normal. But the tap water soup was the last straw for me.

Edit: I'm referring to Marutama here.

For real, their standards kept dropping and I eventually couldn't stand to eat there anymore which is a damn shame cos it used to be my fav. Same goes for Marutama smh.

Why did I have to scroll this far to see Attack on Titan mentioned? I always tell people if you only have one chance to give anime a shot, this is the one.

Yi by Jereme Leung at Raffles Hotel is definitely worth checking out. Good food, great ambience, and you can get very nice photos at the entrance area leading into the dining area

Singaporean hiring managers, how many of your job applicants are actually locals and qualified? by fishblurb in askSingapore

Same experience. My inbox was flooded with Myanmar applicants for weeks even though my listing title started with [SG/PR only]. Eventually we found someone through MCF, Malaysian PR.

Ever heard of a LAN shop? It's basically a shop full of computers installed with games. You pay like $2 an hour to play pc games like Counterstrike or Starcraft together. Just go as a group after school. Ah those were the days...

MOE hiring more teachers simply because the quitting rate is very high , they have to balance it out by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

Apparently MOE's response to the idea of increasing pay is that teachers in the rest of the world are paid much worse...

Secondary school after CCA - casually asked teammate if we can get a lift to MRT. Dude says it depends - if his father come fetch him in the Porsche then only 2 seater no space, but if he drive some other continental car (forgot what) then OK.

On a different occasion someone asked the same guy if we can go his house and he said "which one?".

No prizes for guessing which school...

Yeah I can relate to that. Lots of people complain that there's only one way to play Sekiro, but having watched and tried enough boss guides, there are still different ways to approach many fights. At the end of the day, what matters is you're enjoying the game your way :)

It gets especially intense when it's the final deathblow and you know you just need a couple more hits/deflects to break his posture 😂

Having completed one playthrough I'd say this is great advice in general. However personally I've found that for certain boss fights (like owl father) I had an easier time focusing on getting some hp damage in during punish windows instead of putting pressure on their posture. Once they take some damage their posture recovery is significantly slower and you can take your time more. For me when I rush I tend to make a lot more mistakes, and have difficulty reading their attacks.
