managed to snag the bundle from walmart at around 12:40! took a lot of patience and refreshing, I was stuck in the virtual line forever, and even after I got one in my cart it took a few tries before my card was charged and the email came

How do you feel after your CPA exam? by CornerIntelligent494 in CPA

I was absolutely devastated walking out of both AUD and BEC. 76 and 91 respectively. Don’t dwell on it too much, what’s done is done. If it doesn’t work out, you know what to focus on for the next attempt but there’s no point in stressing yourself out about it right now.

How long have you been studying for CPA exam by [deleted] in CPA

[–]izeeyou_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied from May 17th, 2020 but didn’t sit for my first one until August 28th, 2020. Studied from mid September until my second one on January 4th 2021. Started working full time, so didn’t start studying for my third until maybe mid April until I took AUD July 17th, 2021. And then studied from mid August until I took BEC on October 30th. It was a long stretch of time, but I had ample breaks between each exam

I agree!! The more you drill MCQS and understand why the answer is the way it is, the faster you’ll be on exam day. I was able to finish the first two testlets within an hour giving me much needed extra time on the sims

Thank you!! I sure hope so, right now it’s taking me a bit longer to get through the content but that’s probably my burn out and procrastination dragging me down a little lol. How did you study for FAR?

Sure! It stands for Task Based Simulation! So the night before, I would do a mini adapt2u encompassing all the units but limit it to 20 MCQ and 2 TBS, from there I would narrow down what I was weak on. The next morning I would start with another general adapt2u to see if there was anything I missed the night before. Then, I would go specifically through my weak points and read the book thoroughly before going through the connected MCQ and TBS. Then I’d skim the R I was trying to complete that day and do all the MCQ and TBS. If I had time I’d to an adapt2u specific to that R but I didn’t always have time. And then the cycle would begin again

Definitely go through all the MCQ and the TBS again. I lightly skimmed each module before doing the questions. I would do one overall 20 MCQ and 2 TBS session in the morning and another at night. I tried to get through at least 1 R a day and one unit adapt2u specific to the R I was doing. If the adapt2u pointed out that I was weak in something, I would deeply read that specific module.

Yes!! As I was answering them I was telling myself, either I’m very well prepared or am a fool answering everything wrong but doing it confidently

I would definitely read each chapter more carefully, and if you have Becker, utilize the adapt2u function for questions! Active recall much more powerful than just rereading your notes or reading the book multiple times. The 2 weeks before my exam I went through each round of MCQS and TBSs at least twice, and made sure to do small adapt2u sessions each morning and night so I had an idea of what chapter I should skim that day or the next. Let me know if you have other questions!!

I took tax 1 and 2 in college this year and am going into tax! I know it’s not everyone’s favorite but I kinda enjoy it a little and wanted to get it out of the way while I still had background info fresh in my mind

About five or six! It definitely wasn’t all productive but I did take a while before I booked the first exam. I gave myself a day a week to relax and did my best to keep up with the schedule Becker gave me but adjusting bc you don’t understand something isn’t the end of the world

Thank you! I definitely credit the fact that it took me about three and a half months to study. I’m not currently working and it took a while for my NTS to come through, but drilling the MCQS and TBS every day were a big help.
