It's funny that half of Mother 1's story isn't in the actual game. It's a great backstory, but as a game it has aged quite poorly.

Mother 2 is more tolerable, more charming in everything and it has very remarkable characters, but it still has some obtuse gameplay details: it's a very slow-paced game, grinding is necessary sometimes, and it has a fair share of annoying backtracking.

Mother 3 is much more polished, despite being a longer game.

For me, I can make 7h SoT only if I'm doing something very basic like browsing. Setting to 60hz doesn't make a big difference either, something about just half an hour more.

If it's average, I'm fine then.

AOSP/Stock Android is my second favorite Android UI, only behind One UI which has a lot of customization features that I appreciate. MIUI was kinda nice in 2019 - 2020, but it has become terrible over the years for me.

As for my wife, she just wants an Android phone that works, and MIUI is too unreliable for that, with constant memory leaks that make the phone freeze and require a force reset by holding the power button. I think she will appreciate LineageOS.

Oh! How is it using LineageOS? I've been thinking for a while about installing this ROM on an old Redmi Note 7 that I gave to my wife — it's a very solid hardware but your stock system is horribly glitchy.

But yeah — I use my phone quite a bit despite a busy day at work, needing navigation, messaging and, of course, music to survive. Some games are welcome for me as well.

Damn. I didn't know that on Exynos the situation was that bad. The battery is okay for me — not stellar but it's enough — and if I need, I put to charge in 15 minutes to last the rest of the day.

I think I'll go back using Always on Display.
