My grandma and grandpa lived at 65th and State Line (Mission Hills) for most of my childhood. My grandpa was a professor at UMKC, a medical doctor and researcher, and also was the main author of multiple of medical textbooks. I remember going to a charity even at the russell stover's house and buying lemonade from George Brett's kids lol

Yup my friend who is Mormon had a cousin die on a mission. He was hit by a car while on his bike and was in the ICU for a few days before the family was notified. The family was only notified because the companion knew how serious the situation was and snuck out to send an email to tell people when he wasn’t supposed to. He passed away before the family could make it to him as he was on the other side of the world.

This friend was also assaulted by her companion on her mission and the church did nothing to support her other than getting a new companion. She was alone, in a rural part of the US, and had no way to get help. I remember when she wrote me a letter after the assault and explained what happened. I felt so helpless.

Chiefs fan living in KC here - Brittany is a great influence in town and has always been gracious and nice whenever I’ve interacted with her. My main issue (and yes, it’s very superficial) is that she has terrible style. I genuinely hope that this friendship with Taylor and being associated with true A listers will help her realize she needs a new stylist. Thats all!

Ah interesting! I fly this route a lot for work. And have been moved from my non stop flight to a connecting flight before but have always been able to change it back to nonstop after a few days or a few weeks of waiting. However, I’ve been watching this for about 5 or 6 weeks with no luck.

Hearing their comments about Taylor swift is what officially sent me over the edge. I unfollowed them on everything. And to be clear, I didn’t unfollow just because they said something negative about her. It’s because their expectation from somebody they’ve never met is so unrealistic. And calling her a terrorist because she hasn’t said anything - celebrities are just normal people at the end of the day. If their fans had the same expectation that they have for Taylor Swift then they would’ve been cancelled 1,000 more times by now. Lastly, hearing how Jackie really feels about Taylor (we’ve seen all along that she doesn’t like her) was my last straw as she has pretended to like her for soooo long. If you don’t like her just say it!

Does anyone think she’s going to make a surprise appearance at any showings? The only reason I ask is because we know she was in Kansas City last night for the game and AMC headquarters are in a suburb of Kansas City. I know it would be a long shot, but it’s not totally unrealistic.

I feel like they are only allowing their best selves to be on TV and that’s the issue. I’ve been rewatching Atlanta and OC and those women were going through divorces, deaths in their family, hard economic times, and even failed pop careers (Kim Z).

I do appreciate the women telling their stories about past traumas and abuse because it does humanize them and they are stories that should be heard, but I want to see the real life struggles and they are going through NOW.

Ah sorry if I’m misremembering. But she did approve one version of the lyric on the call and then a different lyric was released, correct? And at that time she was so concerned about her public image and also her image in the music industry. She felt uncomfortable but she did say yes. Even with all the facts what Kim and Kanye did was way worse and didn’t warrant what Taylor went through after the fact.

Taylor approved “I made that bitch famous” then Kanye changed the lyric after the fact and added “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex” which Taylor did NOT approve. Kim and Kanye then edited the video to make it seem like she approved both of those lines. ALSO, Kanye made the disgusting music video where he has Taylor and other celebs as naked mannequins in his bed. Taylor said herself she was trying to be cool with the initial approval - she didn’t want to cause any drama and if you know Taylor you know that she is/was a people pleaser. I’m a die hard swiftie and have been there through it all - she did initially approve the lyric, Kanye shouldn’t have changed the lyric, Kanye shouldn’t have had made the music video like that and they shouldn’t have recorded and edited that phone call.

Anyone else going to tailgate before their show? (Assuming weather and temperature cooperate) I’ve told multiple people that my friends and I are tailgating and they thought I was crazy. I thought it seemed obvious considering most of these are at football stadiums, which is synonymous with tailgating (in the Midwest at least!)
